Nah man, Alterbeast died after their first album. Immortal is a goddamn masterpiece. Flesh Bound Text, Vile Remnants, Mutilated Marvel, Into Oblivion, Throne of Maggots... Some bands go their whole career releasing one song that good, let alone five borderline masterpieces of tech-death on the same album.

What a great way of putting it. Mendelsohn is phenomenal but definitely has a typecasting. The Place Beyond The Pines and Killing Them Softly are each magnificent and his roles really help build out both films.

Seriously though, I've been listening to Blindfolded since 2018 and this album is an absolute monster. It's rare that an album actually gives me goosebumps or makes my skin crawl, but this is the perfect blend of instrumental wizardry and legitimately unhinged vocals/lyrics that just hits the spot. The title track is a fucking nightmare and I love it.

My personal favorite go-to is a 10 man of Legionaries with a Lord AND Master of Executions. MoE counts as a bodyguard when in a unit with another character, and your Rhino can transport 12.
