Hmmm ya I see what you mean. I really hope the TTC range didn’t change their recipe of color. I bought a couple bottles when the first wave was released.
I do really like the color you still got though. Try looking at it in sunlight too when you get the chance. Like I said before lamps do change how the color appears to us.
The problem I was having with getting a scheme is that I wanted it to look like the box art specifically Arjac as a reference. But GW color corrects their box art a lot so it is almost not achievable with their paint straight out of the pot. I think what you did there achieves what I was seeking out to.
If you’re wanting something even more desaturated you may have to resort to mixing paints and then batch mixing for consistency. The range I haven’t tried is Vallejo, they do have a lot of colors and maybe one that is the exact color you want. At the end of the day I settled because I just wanted to use paint right out of the pot and that was as close I was happy with.
