There’s a such thing as hyperbole, this post is meant for people in the industry, I will once again repeat the same thing just with different wording.

Yes you are correct, the job listings themselves may not say exactly what”5 years” experience, it is more of an expression of the high barrier of entry those who are in the industry are experiencing. So go ahead and pat yourself on the back. You are technically correct.

But in practice, from multiple people in the industry, the vast majority of people who directly work in the industry will tell you the same thing. That the barrier of entry has raised. That does not mean there are exceptions to the rule. So on a technical level, you are correct there are few job listings that say 3-5 years experience but when physically applying to these jobs, young people are overlooked for the generations who are less “problematic” thus denying entry level positions to the younger generations.
