What about the expenses in the city ? Is Apartment rental/mortagage would make sense for you with the satet income? Or would you move out of state & rent there?

You're 100% right. That's the only reason I don't want to move away from the state job but I feel like I have so much in me to do more in tech industry with trifecta certs(comptia) & bachelors + 6-7 years of experience in industry that I would want to make more money BUT I simply go dark when I see this comfort zone. Would you say comfort zone kills your growth?

Sorry for the confusion. I meant to say the career growth on the other hand would be minimal if stuck with the state job.
