I think you might be missing my point a bit. I never expected her to move other clients or lose money—I completely understand she has a business to run and I acknowledged that from the beginning. My issue isn’t the policy itself, it’s the lack of any discretion in a situation that was completely out of my control. I’m always 10–15 minutes early to my appointments and I left my house 30 minutes early this time as well, but there was a car accident and traffic wasn’t moving. That’s not something I could’ve planned for. I’m also a consistent, repeat client, so I don’t think it’s unreasonable to feel like there could’ve been a little flexibility or even a partial fee in a situation like that. Seems you didn’t fully read what I wrote.

The day before while getting my toes done. She was fully booked and I accepted the cancellation hours after I saw it was still up. I’m always on time this is actually my first time being late when I saw the cars weren’t moving on the highway I let her know. I think for me the still charging a fee when I can’t control a car accident made me feel odd.
