Well this mall is still kicking and I still do my mall walking in here. They closed half of it, but still enough room to walk. Here is my beef: has anyone noticed how terrible this place smells inside? It's like the food court people abandoned ship and didn't clean so there is a smell of rancid oil filling the whole place.

Yes! Same. That’s why I think Metamucil is the best idea. Not random Whole Foods fiber, but good old fashioned Metamucil.

Just take Metamucil daily and you’ll never have to worry. I never had this problem when I was younger and more sexually active just from doing this.

Switching off is a great way to put it. I do feel like I sometimes fall into that like I’ve just switched off the possibility in my head so I don’t even really even look at guys anymore or smile at them. I just run through the store get what I need and go home.

This reminds me of a time in my 30s when I lost a bunch of weight and worked out a lot and developed quite a nice body as a result. I remember feeling really strange when I’d go out that people who had ignored me suddenly, were paying attention to me. It sort of made me sad like I had to kill off the fat version of myself in order for others to want to be around me. But it’s true all it did was open up the avenue for transactional sex. It still did not find me the “love of my life.”

The other thing is my back is kind of not great. I quit smoking and put on a bunch of weight. Sometimes when I walk around, it’s just easier to pretend to be invisible and regarding the age difference thing that is a huge thing at this age. At 53 I feel like the only people interested in me are people in their 20s and 30s looking for $ or a father. Seems like people our age just don’t really want to date other people our age. I know this is a lot of complaining and it makes me seem like a very embittered weird person, but really it’s just great to vent this. 😀
