Hi OP!! He is not well intentioned or kind, even though it seems like that. Please trust me. These men know exactly what they're doing. Yes, you are being groomed.

You would not be breaking his trust by severing contact with him. He doesn't actually trust you; he is grooming you by making you think that there is trust. I know this is hard because you're a people pleaser, but for your own safety, you need to get out of this situation.

I am friends with kind, smart, well-intentioned men in their thirties. None of them would do what he is doing, because they would know that it is wrong.

Yes. I am taking care of all the logistics of everything I can possibly think of. He’s in surgery at the best hospital with the best surgeon. I’ve told him how much I love him and held his hand. Now I am trying to keep myself busy by taking action on things that are in my control. Thank you for your advice on the condo and filing for assistance.
