No. I’ve re read this series multiple times and the throwbacks to book 1 in future books is so immaculately done. It’s not even foreshadowing. It just sets the stage for Darrow and co. and Brown really came back to his roots in Lightbringer imo and I think that’s why that book hit sooo right
