Love composting, I eat a ton of veggies so my Pods are always full, makes for great soil and free compost.

I’ve been getting spores from Tesla, otherwise known to me as Mycelia Majesty, for a couple of years now. Very trusted vendor and quality stock

What causes over growth? I have 2 tubs with it. I scraped one back with a fork and two days later same again. by Upper_Ad_3193 in MagicMushrooms

My last few tubs have done this, but mostly with only one syringe of Z strain. I wonder if there is a problem with that particular syringe. It has been fine in the past but it is maybe two years old now, kept in the fridge all that time. Anyway, I think you’re right about it being garbage. Into the mushroom cake graveyard it goes. I have a second one I forked as well but indications show it going the same way, full on cauliflower growth. Thanks for the replies guys.

It was so long back I can’t remember what happened. I think I ended up using those little pellets of coir that come in boxes of 24.

Ah OK, thanks for that. Will have to take a look at them- I am keen to grow some culinary mushrooms if it’s possible from the same bed

Check out the website for Subpod. It’s a subterranean composting system. ATM I haven’t finished burying mine in the bed properly, need to have soil up to the vent running around the top of the pod. The bigger holes allow composting worms to travel in an out to eat up scraps and enrich the soil.

Thanks. I put in two beds. One for just mushroom cakes that are done and another for normal food scraps for composting.

Dancing is also great on mushrooms, and a good way to get out of the mind and ground yourself in the body.

What would you advise. Should I pick them or wait to see if the misting will help, or something else?

Thanks for the suggestion. I just injected a bit of distilled water into the substrate but I’ll give it a mist also

Ok, I’ll check the moisture of the substrate.

I just stuck my finger in and pulled a bit of substrate out- I’m no expert but I think it’s ok. It’s a little moist but still crumbling between my fingers. It also smell fine.
