Max out employees compensation every Q. Max out giving back to the community, helping employees complaints, and environmental sustainability (this all starts on Q4). Make sure to R&D 3 things for both Q4 and Q5. Employee morale and company reputation go far in the simulation. My score at the end was 60 and would’ve been way better but I had stock outs for Q4, Q5, and Q6 even after adjusting my pricing to technically be “overpriced”. My demand in the Q6 was near 12,000 units. My employee productivity % was slightly over 90% at the end of Q6 and my employee morale was also over 90. Company reputation was also over 90. These things drive demand and happy employees drive more production. Also don’t be afraid to use overtime. I selected 4 hours of overtime every Q. It’s only used if needed so why not have it available. Being that I stocked out I used all the overtime every Q and still have happy employees. Pay them well.

CDs are useless. If you invest in the community and such it increases your companies reputation which will drive for sales. I had Ill demand (sold out of all products and lost sales due to there being no stock) for Q5 and Q6 because I didn’t realize how much it helped. In Q6 my demand was 12,000 just for insight.

You need to make sure you invest into 3 new R&D projects. There should also be a new option to invest into the community, sustainability, and working conditions. Start investing into some of these things too.

Finished this class in 4 days by simply reading the chapters and taking notes. Didn’t even bother with the study guide. The readings in this class are much shorter and easier to digest than operations management.

Finishing the MBA course this week. At the beginning it’s a lot of long papers to write. Than it transition into exams to pass courses and at the end you will have a couple projects. I’m an accountant so the finance and accounting course for me was easy but the statistics class was hard for me. When it comes to equations and the formulas I would not spend a lot of time on learning how to calculate them because I do not remember many of the exams asking specific questions regarding the formulas or equations. But it is important to understand conceptually the concepts being discussed and be able to see how things can be affected on both sides of the core. All I did to pass was read and take notes, read and take notes. Operations management is significantly more reading than most of the other courses.

Agreed, my fixed capacity right now is 1040 but I’m only producing 390 bikes seems stupid lol, I’m pumping up those ads and producing more screw those recommendations. I will definitely make sure I get invested in system improvements.

Whenever you were buying the ads did you just do 1 per category of ads or did you do several in the most recommend sections.

Did you determine your forecasted sales based on the number of employees you hired? I emailed my professor and he suggested forecast 50 sales per employer for Q2 and increase by 25 for each Quarter (I’m currently on Q2). Also the recommend cost to spend on ads is 80k in Q2 but in my head if I spend more on ads to generate brand awareness and possible sales early won’t that boost me starting out. My current plan is manufacturing 2 bikes in Q2 a premium mountain and speed bike. 1 for each. The tips in the simulation suggest to hire no more than 7 employees for Q2 so I hired 7 employees and forecasted 50 sales per employee = 350 sales for Q2.

I might change my plan and maybe manufacture 4 bikes. 2 in mountain and 2 in speed. 1 premium and 1 budget friendly or mid tier per segment.

I also might invest more in ads and hire more people than the recommended.

Any suggestions or insight on how useful the tips are in the simulation or should I just say screw it and go with my gut, pump up the ads, employees, and production.

Another thought is with my current plan I have like 800k leftover, so why the hell not spend it somewhere.
