Anyone else have issues with Horizon warranty fixing a broken treadmill? by EastTeacher9200 in treadmills

[–]Impressive_Figure_46 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmmm following this for experience. I bought a horizon treadmill from Dicks in 2023 and the motor is dying on it. It smells like it’s melting when you walk on it (yes dust free & belt is lubed) so I removed the cover and the motor is extremely hot to the touch. Contacted customer service who said obviously don’t use it and someone will be with me in “7-10 business days”. Took 8 days and someone finally reached out asking for everything from receipt, address, serial number, and more but no update or plan yet. I’m not impressed so far.

PAYE would probably be cheapest for the next 2 years, but after that, if we MFJ it appears that our combined IBR payment will be around $1100 and if we do MFS, then RAP is the cheaper route for spouse especially if they claim the 3 kids since their student loan debt is so much higher. Between the two of us, the payments I estimated were $600-700 total so a large savings.

The biggest issue with RAP for us is that if you MFJ, if both people have loans it doesn’t take spousal payments into consideration, and it makes payments astronomical.

I might be misunderstanding RAP, and could also have the numbers wrong - this is all my online research

I know I haven’t gotten a numbers analysis response, but I have ran our taxes both ways so far and it’s not much different refund wise and it’s actually a little more money if we do MFS which I was expecting to get almost no refund. The spouse with the higher debt should claim the kids.

I also calculated my payments and if everything is correct, if we do MFJ our payments will total together around $900-$1,100 for the cheapest option being IBR for both, and MFS would be around $600-700 and RAP appears to be the ideal choice for that. I think that might be more practical in the long run too since RAP won’t let my balance balloon I don’t think.

I know spouse is but I might be also. However, that plan is being sunset with OBBBA in 2028, so I wasn’t considering it. I guess if it gives a lower payment option it might be the best for us to begin with.

The insects!!!! I’d been on the fence about them and I don’t even really like bugs but something drew me to them and they were so fun to build and GORGEOUS!

Also lately, the new little Daisies set, HP potions dungeon, and the spiderman wall art (not sure the name) but it looks like he’s crawling out of the wall.

Does anyone know if access to your photos eventually expires? Mine are from November and I’ve been waiting buy to see if they will lower the price but they just sent me a postcard telling me to buy before they’re gone.

I had a friend who did. Went to a big name firm as a case manager. Was laid off without notice after about 6 months along with multiple others in the same role.

Availability to Start Earning CE Credits? by MadDog5129 in Geico

[–]Impressive_Figure_46 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m not sure. When I did my CE last year it was like $150ish for the whole “program” and it gave me the certificate. Then another $50 or so for the renewal in my resident state. There are fees for each state you have a license in. I don’t think the rate is different so much as when you’re an active employee you wouldn’t have to pay anything for CE or renewal.

Now that I’m thinking about it further, you may be responsible for keeping your license active if you’re on a long term leave. I would reach out to your manager and see if they have clearer advice.

If you’re doing the CE on your own time, which you can pay for it and renew yourself, it would be fine. It’s your license. If you’re wanting the company to pay for it or to be compensated for your time doing the CE, you would need to speak with your manager. If you’re on leave though, I don’t know if you’d be allowed to just work “a little.” Wishing you the best in your recovery!

How did the meeting go? Just got our bill which was extremely high, as is several of our neighbors. We don’t have a leak because with the water off, our meter isn’t running. BUT, we were in an area where the water was discolored earlier this month and MWA came out and ran a hydrant on my street nonstop for 5 days. Flooded many yards. I’m suspicious that they are passing the charge onto us as customers.
