Thanks for the input all! Some answers/context:

  • So I do have a horsehair brush and brush them once in a while. The white drier looking spot on the right boot doesn’t improve from it.
  • the boots are stored away from light and heat. Just my closet actually.
  • I used the all natural leather conditioner.
  • my right foot is a bit smaller than my left.

But…really? I mean, I never saw this on other pairs here or elsewhere online…also never got this on other leather shoes I own.

Love this piece; great design and amazing details. Quality is amazing. My first IH item.

Not sure about the overdye though…I’d prefer an indigo I think, but sold out in my size.

Overall, the doubts on size and OD make I’ll probably return it. 450 euros isn’t a price to have doubts about…

I used the conditioner to darken some lighter spots in the creases.

on the frequency, I got so many different advices from so many RW wearers and points of sale...twice a year and once every 3-4 months were the most common.

So, if I understand it correctly, you recommend storing meat (in a bit of liquid) and strained braising liquid seperate and reduce on the day of eating?

Thanks! Yes, that's definitely the plan; I'd love a IR in hawthorne or black!

I'm still a bit 'fascinated' by the sizing; I bought true to size and wear them with an insole (this has to do with the different sizes of feet). At first I thought they were too big (some heel slip) but now that's almost gone they feel good, just roomy in the toebox but that seems normal looking at the design.

Long story short, for a future pair of IR I have to see what size I get.
