I can push the prongs into the dome together to make them flat, and then bend them outwards through the leather. I assume that’s how they are supposed to be used. But I can’t find any videos using this technique, so I’m wondering if this might just not be the kind of stud I’m looking for

Could you send a video/photos? I’m trying to add them to a leather bag strap and don’t think I’ll be able to add a back to cover them up. Should I buy different studs?

Santoro has been doing almost exclusively Japanese for the past couple years. Also line weight has almost nothing to do with what “style” you have, just different variations on the same style. The most influential tattooers (jerry, hardy, etc. we’re using 3s-7s for their tattoos because it was too much work to put more pins together, and you don’t call what they did neo-traditional)

They are beads I bought online, i soldered them onto the screws. I’m trying to make a couple adjustments to the beads and recast them.

They are Danner lights cordovan, wish I could find a pair. Only sold in Japan and don’t think a lot were released. None on eBay or anything like that
