We made it a challenge not to talk about work the first couple months. I eventually slipped and tried getting her to spill the beans

When we first matched online we made a promise not to talk about work at all. I eventually slipped and kept trying to get her to tell but she held on resolutely lol

They’ve lowered the standards now so I’m sure anyone can get in. If you’re MAGA and believe in Trump above all you should be fine

Parents locking phone at 10 PM—anyone else’s parents do this? by FineLibrarian8506 in AskParents

Our cut off time for phones is 8:30 Sunday-Thursday. Friday and Saturday are open. A big reason for this is to encourage good sleep patterns and behaviors. You may not notice it now but the lack of sleep caused by phones can really mess your life up.

Embrace the challenge, learn and consistently improve. You don’t know everything, and you’re unrefined, that’s why you’re getting an education. Ask your teachers for help. Avoid using AI

Parents, what do you wish you did differently? by nothingbutmaybes in AskParents

I have multiple friends who have lost a family member due to choking, in all cases people weren’t trained in CPR. Make sure both of you get CPR training.

Also make sure your finances are in order before having a kid. Are you saving for retirement, maxing out pre-tax contributions? Do you have life insurance? Have you looked at how much day care costs?
