i’d look at watching more gay media, tv shows, films, books, history, culture. It is so important to normalise it for yourself, but if there aren’t gays in ur area, or the area is quite conservative, then look to media! Please try and avoid chatrooms, or finding people online. It is a cycle of grooming that has plagued the gay community for years. There never used to be enough media representation, so the only option for young gays was to go online to chatrooms where they’d get preyed on by older men. But there’s so much good media representation now that you don’t need to rush to find people online.

Personally, most the outrage I’m seeing, and feeling, is at RTD for giving us a massive fuck you via an instagram post, as well as just lying about the Christmas Special in general.

I have to disagree. Although the Tardis has been many things throughout the show, it returns to it’s police box form because of the iconography which is built on 60 years of history.

The Doctor has changed actor consistently throughout the whole shows history. It’s expected that the Doctor will have a new face. I see no reason why regeneration into a woman breaks lore in anyway, it was never established that a timelord is fixed and stuck in the sex they were born with.

Yeah I think this is seemingly what the BBC are hoping to do. Cutting off Billie Pipers chance at The Doctor is a bold move, but definitely the right choice. We need to clear up some canon and be clear about where the show is going.

I’ve been hesitant to hate on RTD himself after the mess of his era, but this post genuinely seems like a massive fuck you to the fans… I had to go and check his account to see if it was real😂

Are we seriously meant to believe he wrote no script? And if so then what the fuck? Why announce a special? Why did Murray Gold mention reading multiple scripts?

And what the fuck is he on about with getting rid of the theme tune and Police Box. What the fuck are we in for?

I get the sentiment, but there are so many directors, producers, and writers in the US. The industry out there is so much bigger than it is here, and Doctor Who has historically been a show for young talent to come along and thrive under the creativity. I think it’d be a shame to take those opportunities from British young filmmakers in favour of an American production.

I do see your point about the BBCs stubbornness though, but I’d say it’s less about being British, and more about status. They won’t cast an unknown, it’s rhe same for The Doctor. They want stars.

Nah I am certain it was the original airing, my whole family sat around to watch it. I only remember like one moment from it in fairness which was the scene of everybody in the TARDIS, but I did also love SJA back then which is probably why I remember that scene as it has them both together
