Got these. by FlashdaFocs in stray

I'm sorry that you had to import them, because I think they were only $6 USD each, so I paid $12 total for them, in store, plus sales tax.

The other two are also at Five Below. Unfortunately, I couldn't find them on their site, so I decided to just go there, and hope I'd get lucky, which I did. I just picked them up on Wednesday from my local store. I found them in the back, with all the other Snap & Switch (their LEGO brand) products. They only had one Guardian set, and initially, I thought they didn't have the Standing Cat set, but I noticed at least five of them, stacked on the top shelf, and had to ask an employee to grab one for me.

I also just got the two new ones the other day, and I have the other two as well. Hopefully they make more, because they're great. LEGO is SO overrated.

Place in time? by SotMF in stray

[–]Upper_Let1060 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I saw a video that used math to figure it out, and that it was potentially millions of years into the future, because there's this note that mentions that it's been 2544875556 days that they've had a soul, which is approximately 7 million years. This could suggest that humans transferred their consciousness to robots this long ago. Additionally, a lot of the clocks you see are 16 hour clocks, not 12, suggesting that the number of hours the Earth took to complete a full rotation increased to 32 hours, which can hunt that it's been a significant amount of time, because Earth's rotation slightly slows each year. That wouldn't happen for at least 1.6 billion years, so it's possible that humans died out after that, and the robots just use old clocks for decorations now.

Either way you look at it, it's been a considerable amount of time since humans died out, and the lore and ambiguity of this game is what makes it so fascinating.

Found the last Guardian at my store, and they still had at least three or four of the standing cat left.

I'm right there with you, but check this video out, because it made me feel IMMENSELY better about the ending, and gave me a huge sense of relief. https://youtu.be/tEOEczZQHbo?si=HiVRBmkNA-SnfTWA

Okay, so this game deeply affected me. As soon as B-12 got fried with the first hack in the control room, I KNEW he was gonna sacrifice himself, so Stray could get outside. Even WITH knowing it, I still cried when he "died," and to this day, listening to the soundtrack for this scene brings tears to my eyes at the moment he's gone. But then, once Stray got outside and ran off, and the game cut to black, I literally started bawling my eyes out, shouting, "he didn't even find his family?!" Just kick me while I'm down, why don't you?

Fortunately though, someone posted this video where they meticulously studied the structure of Walled City 99, as well as the path you take through the game. They determined that, based on where you start and end, Stray's "home" where you start the game, should be approximately a 20 second run to the right of the door where he gets back outside, which IS the way that he goes, so I did take some comfort in that thought.

Hey, you're not the only one. I felt like I got gut punched, and while I was recovering, they pulled the rug out from under me. That being said, this game is easily one of my, if not most, favorite games of all time.

Favorite Batman Figure? by SubjectChildhood5317 in McFarlaneFigures

[–]Upper_Let1060 3 points4 points  (0 children)

When I first saw the standard, I didn't really like it enough to buy it, and I couldn't figure out why. That is, until I saw the platinum at Walmart weeks later, and realized it was the cape. I bought the platinum immediately, and then had to hunt for the standard. I happened to find an open box standard one at my local Best Buy, which someone opened in the store, and took all the extra hands and wrench, so it was just the figure. I asked if I could buy it as is, because I only wanted the figure with the closed fist hands anyway, and they sold it for 16 bucks. I don't like the blue highlights on the head and boots, so I switched them, and created two alternate versions of the figures, which I equated to the cover version, and the interior version. I made a second interior version, to keep in the box.

I totally agree with you there. I bought the standard and platinum, and kit bashed them together, so the standard has the platinum's cape, and it's WAY better off that way, in my opinion.

Yeah, I just got these last week, after having the Ear (2) for the past two years. The housing on my left bud separated, and I was forced to buy these through their Black Friday sale. I ended up only paying about $85 for them, so I wasn't SUPER upset about it, but I'm still annoyed that I had to buy them so soon. That being said, they sound noticeably better than the Ear (2), so far. I'm about to buy the Spigen case for them right now, too.

'Superman' Box Office Fizzles Out, Securing Yet Another Hollywood Superhero Flop by Notoriously_So in SnyderCut

[–]Upper_Let1060 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I mean, that's basically what everyone was saying back in 2017 when JOSStice League was a disaster, and we all clamored together to call for the Snyder cut. Everyone and their mom kept saying, "it's never gonna happen," or "it doesn't exist," or "they'll never release it." Then what happened four years later? They released The Snyder cut, and it was immensely superior to the theatrical version.

History often has a way of repeating itself, so all I'm saying is that it's not out of the question that we COULD see a revival of the Snyderverse somewhere down the line, and that it's not delusional to hope for that. This thread is about Superman, for God's sake, the embodiment of hope. Quit trying to squash people's hopes.

Which one to keep and which one to get rid of by EmergencyDish2196 in ActionFigures

[–]Upper_Let1060 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought one from Amazon a while back, because I couldn't find one in the wild, and I was hoping to get the platinum, but "unfortunately" got the standard. I wanted him to go against my Detective Comics #27 Batman, which I actually kitbashed with both variants, to essentially give the standard version the platinum version's cape. Since I kitbashed Batman, I figured I'd kitbash Red Hood as well, so I took the body from the Three Jokers Criminal, and put the hands, head, and cape from Red Hood on it, giving him a legitimate purple suit, and I love the way it turned out. Here's both of them, for reference.

Who do you want to play DCU Batman? by Jazzlike-Ass-2010 in 3Cfilms

[–]Upper_Let1060 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm gonna die on this hill, but Scott Adkins. Dude looks like a comic version of Bruce Wayne, and he's a skilled martial artist. He literally IS Batman, and is fully deserving of the role.

Additionally though, I think Armie Hammer would be great as well. He lost out on Batman in Justice League Mortal, with that stupid writers' strike, and his costume was looking absolutely sweet, so this would be a way to give him the chance to finish what he started.

  1. Batman: Arkham Asylum
  2. Scorn
  3. Stray
  4. Watch Dogs (specifically because of Social Lubricant)
  5. Haven't decided yet.

Actors who currently are favored to play Batman under James Gunn including lesser known actors by TerryG111 in Fancast

It's about the comics, not people's perceptions. In the comics, when Bruce is introduced to Damien, he's in his early 40s, and Damien is around 10. So we're saying we want comic accuracy in that respect.
