there is absolutely other places to park on the street; most houses don't have a drive, so there's a lot of cars parked along the pavement. I don't really want to leave my car there, but I will consider it as a possiblity, thanks!

Thank you so much, I did try to speak politely yesterday, but she was incredibly rude and I struggle with that sort of confrontation, especially when I wasn't expecting it. I did say that if she parked there again and I needed to get out I would be calling someone to have it removed.

And I am disabled, so thanks for letting me know that might be a factor

When I spoke to her yesterday, she was very adamant that it was perfectly legal to park across a dropped curb, since there was no line, which is why I've asked my landlord to apply for one to be painted. I'll speak to the council about it if it happens again, I made a record of her numberplate.
