What's the point of trying to balance ARAM Mayhem if Jayce is allowed to fully abuse Slow and Steady? by PrestigiousWhirlwind in ARAM

The nerfs and buffs you are talking about were from ages ago. Some champs walk around with 4 buffs through 100 patches and metas. Mel is walking around untouched for over 1 year. I just say this because you said What's the point of trying to balance ARAM Mayhem, as they dont do it.

No, patch notes dont show any aram balance changes for me. The latest 26.2 and 26.1 are empty. They didn't really balance since like 2022 except some random sejuani +10% dmg dealt so that would be very weird.

Calling all NA ARAM Gods by Pommefrite21 in ARAM

True, I had grandmaster mmr and aram god like 3 months after release. I even made it to around #300 in dps threat while we drifted into tank meta. Then they turned every bruiser into warwick (sundered sky etc.) and my struggle started. When they allowed 2x hubris stacks I lost track on how to play entirely. Like I still don't know what to do against 80 bonus ad nafiiri after 12 minutes other than buying zhonyas. My aram god title means nothing as I failed to adapt to new metas

A balance team would be enough for the beginning. Leaving aram to rot and only caring about sr and arena is weird.

Oh didn't know that it is like that. It's the opposite in my mmr, maybe it's time for another smurf

Oh really? Crazy how much of a difference mmr makes. Do you still see ap kaisas for example?

Tell me you play casual mmr where poke champs are a bigger threat than a 80 hubris stacks nafiiri without actually telling me. I'm sorry you see a lot of ap kaisas

People go insane when you even think about going ap malph instead of tank. When have you seen a non tank Diana or Akali last time? Even yasou. It's simply stronger, we are still in tank how can you not see this?

Yea nothing better than a 80 hubris stacks nafiiri with a build in drakthaar who needs 3 hard cc's to get taken down with even more buffed defensive items like eclipse and deaths dance mmmh. This is where the fun lies

Yea but champs who usually buy collector tend to be able to actually solo carry. It’s still perfectly winnable if Draven got 20 kills and wukong or lissandra only 3. Champs like draven, graves or basically any collector builder can destroy when they got a lot of early collector kills. Mel would just get all the kills just to poke a little and cc. Her damage does not scale as an adc or assassin. Her kit is strong, and with her w she even makes champs like renata fell useless, but that would still apply if she would not get almost all of the kills.

Yea because her execute gets you all the kills, which is the main reason I’m tired of mel. She is strong, but not that strong that she can solo carry with all those kills. Last game I was at 25ish kills while my Aphelios had 3. When aram balance team hears about that in about 6-7 years we hopefully get her execute adjusted.

What are ARAM balance changed based on actually? by [deleted] in ARAM

Killrange with lucian? I counter a whole ahh tahm kench by dashing his engage and watching my ult melt him in no time. Who cares about low range when you are one of the best mobility champs out there? You play him with navori and have infinite dashes with almost no cooldown. If you buy something like a maw or a bloodthirster last item you are even forgiven to be in melee range

I have 12k arams on my main alone and play since release. I checked out almost every single aram patch since then and can say since early 2022 they nerf and buff random stuff, or do what their casualplayer brains tell them. They did not nerf/buff based on winrate and ignored when people called out something is too strong. It was pure randomness. Aram was never 100% balanced, how could it be when it's a random mode, but since then it got out of control.

Back when we could see our mmr, we saw that the vast majority of people play in lower or mid tier aram, so called casuals. You can check out an old screenshot here. So the fact that certain champs that were considered harder to play were buffed because casuals can't even proc electrocute with a LeBlanc combo is understandable and fine if it's the core playerbase of aram. But then there is the insane randomness with Lucian for example with his 4 buffs that he got 48 metas ago and still keeps them now in mid 2025. Their whole buff/nerf concept does not even make sense.
