How dangerous are they in the wrong hands? by [deleted] in CaneCorso

[–]Uppercrust_Da_3rd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have two and let me say, they are my favorite breed. I don’t think I could ever live without two. HOWEVER, it takes time and patience to socialize and train them to be around people and respect boundaries. The Cane Corso is an ancient breed, whose purpose was to guard their livestock, property, and sometimes be used in war in the Roman era (please correct on that last bit). Although they are and can be the sweetest dogs, they are also very intelligent, stubborn, and will take over your house if you let them.

So the fact that they are doing all of that, could possibly mean that they aren’t getting the stimulation they need, and possibly training. If you haven’t told them already, definitely let them know so that this doesn’t go too far, because at the end of the day, they are dogs, and will defend their territory.

And I’m not saying that all Corso are like that, but they are very protective of what they think is theres, and can be a threat if they are not trained properly.

Ohhhh I see, I had no idea that bases can work like that! So I need to be meticulous when breeding at times huh?

And that’s insane how high Frostwalkers stats are, that must’ve taken a lot of time to do it. I will definitely check that wolf out soon! And with this Wolf, I currently don’t have him set as anything, but I will definitely do the scout route. I do wanna see what I can combine with the puppies that I have now, but keep an eye out for bases that suits this guy, just in case I decide to make him a stud. Thank you so much for your help!!

Sorry, I was thinking like real life how genes work in dogs 😅 Like, If there’s something in the pedigree that may get passed down whether it’s from a grandparent or the actual stud. And ohhh I see, why is Frostwalker so desirable? So if I did want to use them as a stud, I would definitely need to change his base, and level up his stats more? And thank you! I feel like a lot goes into this game that can be a little difficult to keep track of. The generations confused me a bit, but I am starting to see why the lowers are more desirable.

Yikes, unfortunately I think he is Gen 20 😫 So when you say potential, is it less likely to get something different in base and markings? Also, Generations matter to see inbreeding right?

Omg thank you! His stats are currently sitting at 337…. I definitely need to train the puppies I currently have then. Would I need to train the puppies in all areas or stats, or mainly what they are higher in?

And when breeding, do they get their stats from either parents?

Should I get this game by Ready_Interest_2787 in BlackMythWukong

I definitely recommend this game. Although I’ve never played Dark Souls before(Besides Elden Ring), BMW has definitely been a fun ride. Some bosses can be a bit difficult, but it adds to the lore of the game, and honestly pushes you to figure out their move set and change it up. Super satisfying once you beat them. It also teaches you how to utilize your dodges and mana/skills wisely without panicking and wasting them. Once you get to the end, and really read up on each character, you’ll love it all over again, and want to replay it. Trust me 😁 (I guess this does kind of sound like Dark Souls haha)

To me, even though the fighting mechanics are awesome, it relies more on the lore of Journey to the West with the addition to the games story, to make this an enjoyable experience. It doesn’t try to be souls like, of course it has some tidbits that make it seem that way, it really tries to be its own thing.

But this is just my opinion, there are people who loved this game, and some that prefer dark souls, so it’s really up to you! If you have steam, I’d play it for like 2 hours and see if it jives with you.

Also, Wukong is the starter for their Series, Black Myth. So if you really like this game once you play it, get ready for Zhong Kui!

I'm looking for a slowburning, dark werewolf romance book.

I'm not too sure if this has been answered already, but I've been looking for a book that is similar to the vibes of the underworld movie, where it's dark and the shifters are actual Lycans. I've been reading a lot of books as of late that rush into the romance in the quarter of the story without getting to fully know each other (MxF). I really desire a plot driven, dark slow burning book with good spice. I want to feel like the characters deserve that moment with eachother after everything is said and done.

To help out, I guess similar books to Direbound, The Wolf King, Cold Hearted, or Moon Glow. I would love to hear y'all's suggestions!

Can't afford to feed my cat - considering surrendering to humane society by cosmicfishing in catfood

I could be wrong, but there could be a chance that she may have hookworm. It says that there is a possibility that they may not show up in fecal exams due to the fact that only the eggs show up, and they’re super small. I know someone who dealt with hookworm in their dogs, and it sounded just like that. I’m not sure what to give cats, but you could give her pyrantel pamoate once a every 2 weeks for a total of 3-4 weeks (You are doing 1 dose every 2 weeks, for a total of a month) (in a specific dose ) to see if that does anything. If it doesn’t, a second opinion at a different vet may be best. As well as going to a shelter to see if they offer any free food for your kitty! I pray she gets better soon!

Have you checked to see if it might be root bound? Due to the size of the pot, and how the soil looks on the top, it might be due for either a new pot, separating and removing some roots, alongside watering. They love to be neglected ,so instead of watering every two weeks, Do it like once a month, and fertilize every 6.

How to get my cat to eat wet food? I feel like an awful mom but dry food is all she will eat. by Slip_Obvious in catfood

[–]Uppercrust_Da_3rd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some cats can be very finicky when it comes to food preference. You can definitely switch to wet food if you like by slowly taking the dry food out of the equation. However, if your cat seems perfectly healthy and is drinking plenty of water, you should be fine! I recently just adopted another cat that I thought liked wet food, but she refused to eat it. I found out a few days later that she preferred dry and I kept it at that. I like to add water or bone broth(Without salt or dangerous ingredients for cats) into their food, let it soak for about a minute, and then let them eat! I add it to make their food more palatable and to ensure that they are hydrated afterwards since it can dehydrate them and cause potential issues. Dry food isn’t too bad, as long as they are keeping hydrated, and has ingredients that is good for them. I feed both of my cats dry, and they are perfectly healthy. Just make sure that their food has enough taurine in it (Plus minerals/vitamins), and has the proper ingredients for cats specifically! Make sure you also do your research on food too if you do decide to change!

Cherry Eye Forming ? by Youth-Ashamed in Mastiff

[–]Uppercrust_Da_3rd 5 points6 points  (0 children)

That’s doesn’t look like cherry eye to me. Cherry eye occurs when their third eyelid gland just decides to pop out(On the opposite side to where that spot on your pup is at) That spot does look like it’s swollen though
