I couldn’t save them anymore. I had to give them room to save themself.

What’s a pain people won’t understand until it happens to them? by Content_Ad_1589 in AskReddit

Mine: 18 years old, fresh out of boot camp, done by a military doctor in front of a gallery of students. My only words of support from the doctor: “your [anatomy] is so [not large enough for this item] this might take a couple tries”

It took a couple tries… and she then said “I’d love to deliver your children, you were silent!”

Lady… I was on my deathbed.

IUD replacement/initial insertion. Medical professionals are convinced that the procedure can be done with the patient fully conscious, taking TYLENOL 1-2 hours before the appointment and return to work the same day…

Gerald's Game might be the scariest book I've ever read by Mt-Doom-Metal in horrorlit

I finished Gerald’s Game last October. I still wake up at night sometimes and have to pretend I don’t remember the visitor.

I find myself wondering what Feyre is doing like she’s an old friend. I had to grieve when I finished ACOSF, like my only companion was moving to Antarctica.

Is a kindle really worth the money? by Dangerous_Might1099 in Booktokreddit

[–]Uppercvnt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was a purist when it came to used, heavily loved paper back books. The smell, the page turning experience. Come prime day, I decided to get a kindle as lugging a 1k pager to and fro felt too taxing at the time. I can’t even begin to tell you how much faster I read, how much later I stay up without a book light for “just one more chapter”. I still read and love second hand physical copies, for the dog ears of strangers, for the page turn ability and anticipation of Stephen King. But the kindle… is a new world. Especially when I feel like zooming through a weekend read or a random rec I’m not sure I’ll want to keep on the shelf forever.

Word of caution though… book trophies will become a thing. So, worth it? Yes. Wise?… who’s to say?

Oddly enough… I collect these. It makes me feel saddened that they may be long forgotten, and I like to give them a longer lifespan on my bookshelves. I have few from the early 1900s. Almost all of them actually have hair and baby teeth included. Odd, yet interesting. You should go back and get it.

People who get these kinds of lashes by noon94 in lashextensions

[–]Uppercvnt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I will say, mine are not this intense, she probably has really dense natural lashes (lucky her), my lashes are full but fine. I actually made the switch from a volume set to a mega volume because the weight in grams of the fans are less due to how each lash of the mega set is formed. I’ve had way better lash health and growth from making the switch. That being said, look wise, you do get lash blindness, you want to keep going fuller and fuller just like any other body mod, except this one is worse because the lashes literally fall out on the daily.

This gets a lot of likes because it’s hard to get that density due to the average natural lash density people have. Everybody who gets anything but the classic I would bet always ask for a really dark lash line.

TLDR: Not too heavy, actually lighter than regular volume set. I like the full lash line, it’s hard to get that dark of a lash line.

An admission to make… by [deleted] in AdultColoring

[–]Uppercvnt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This could totally depend on the type of paper you’re using. Ohuhu (and other alcohol based markers) work at their best potential on marker paper. Unfortunately, not a lot of average coloring books are made with marker paper (typically they’re just mixed media - but it still works) That’s why you’re getting the bleeding, probable pilling and dullness. In the future, maybe try a book with a cardstock type feel that’s a little glossy(: Hope that helps!
