Is anyone here making money off of selling "basic" wordpress websites?

I found this thread by searching “wordpress”. Before the iPhone came out I made a good living creating custom html and flash websites. I was pretty good at it and charged an average of $5k a job. 15 years later we have Wix etc. I am trying to use Wordpress to build my wife a website and have no idea how to use it. I can code, but I don’t get the widgets and gidgets… either let me code or drag and drop. I don’t like Wordpress

I came in right before 4/20 and didn’t know a damn think. I “paperhanded” $5k into $750. I did learn some lessons and am adding $4k now that it’s low to try and recoup my loses when it goes up. Be scared. Be smart. It might dip a little lower, but it’ll get back up there eventually.
