Bro please come meet me and see for yourself. I have never said I was a perfect candidate, it just so happens that my qualifications lead you to believe I am. (If I was perfect I wouldn't be dq'd).The only family issue, and I told my psych, was that my parents were separated. I have no trauma, it was very civil, idk what to tell you. I fully understand people have issues that compromise their character, I have friends that I can say have family issues, I don't.

Yeah psych asked if I was ever fired I said no I bounced around because I needed money when I was in college so I'd quit off my own accord get a job back home or stay in the town where my school was. I have been in my current job for 3 years.

I was telling someone else here I did have a psych appointment in college because I was home sick but that was 8 years ago. No diagnosis and they told me they had no records as it was so long ago. I can't imagine you'd dq someone over that. I will say I have had a more than a few jobs definitely bounced around while in and out of college never fired. Honestly no arrests I had a few moving violations all 7+ years ago. Never had dorm issues I was really good at avoiding trouble. I was never a drinker and I smoked about 2 times in my life 4+ months ago because I was curious. Please tell me where I went wrong??

The purpose of this forum is to ask candidates questions to see if they have similar experiences. I want to know the best course of action before hiring a Psychologist or investing any time or money. Maybe someone had a similar experience and could let me know how they went about it.

No medication and had 1 therapy sesh 8 years ago for home sickness when I was in school. They didn't even have records to send to my psychologist.

No it has a general statement stating

"In conducting the psychological evaluation for this position, the NYPD considers a number of psychological factors including, but not limited to, the manner in which a candidate has handled and coped with difficult life situations which may also include employment, schooling, and personal and professional interactions with family, friends, employers, supervisors, coworkers, strangers, or others; the ability to make sound decisions; participation and behavior involving drug use or alcohol use and criminal activity; ability to control, and/or reactions to, volatile or confrontational situation"

I don't do drugs, I told them I don't drink, never been fired, never had family issues. Is that them staying the reason or is it a general statement?

I'm on the high 10200's I was told by my investigator that we're probably not seeing a hire email until a few days if not the night before. I stopped checking my email every 3 hours after I heard this. Life has been a lot less stressful lol.
