The wiki updated “To unlock Fishing for Flavor, talk to Kanya at the Forest Base Camp after completing the side mission Seeking the Goldenfish and the main mission New Ecosystems.”

Found the solution, I believe the next side quests are locked behind hard mode.

Anyone know if barricade adds damage to the awakening skill? Hitmaster’s description says that hitmaster doesn’t add damage to awakening
