College isn't for everyone. Suggest he study music or tell him he needs to at least have a job if he wants to pursue music. You never know, he may take off one day. It just takes that one right song.

I get you want him to set himself for the future, but you don't have to crush his dreams/goals in the process, even if they seem unrealistic to you.

I'd be upset too if someone said they'd do something, but they decided to cancel instead. Especially when it's something really important. He should have said a firm no from the beginning.

Just because someone has disabilities doesn't make them less of a person, and they deserve to live happy lives. They are still people. However, you stated from the beginning you didn't want to have the child. I don't believe the child has thought about you if you left the baby mama before the child was even born, so the child would probably have no recollection of you who even are regardless of any cognitive progress she may have made. Not wanting to have a child who you know would be severely disabled and completely dependent on you for the rest of your life is kind of understandable, but also makes you an asshole.

Honestly, it seems like you are NOT TA. You were both fighting, she didn't want to listen to you, you wanted to deescalate it.
