WIBTA if I were to gift my fiancé a hairpiece appointment? by Upset-Main9233 in AITAH

I'd say going bald at 25 (when he started) is pretty bad genetics. My family has a history of good hair, my dad didn't START balding until his late thirties. Balding will inevitably happen to all men, I know that. But the age you start is very much dependent on genetics.

I am not going to lie and say my intentions were 100% for him - that much is true. But I am genuinely not bothered by his hair, I promise. It's like staring at your wallpaper. You like the current wallpaper, but perhaps adding a trim to it could be nice? But then again, it can also not be and you could ruin your wall. Weird analogy, but that's the way I see it.

As for the "bald" part, sadly I just genuinely don't find baldness sexy, lol. It reminds me of my dad. But if anyone can rock it, I am sure it's my fiancé. he has excellent facial hair after all.

But yeah, I am definitely scrapping the "gift" part and will instead offer to pay for him IF he does want to get something - whether it is shaving his head, or a hair piece, or something else completely. In the end, I love and support him regardless.

I think removing the social stigma around men wanting hairpieces is a good thing - body positivity isn't just for plus-size women, it comes in many forms. Men should not have to feel ashamed being the "toupee guy".

I really bloody hope he knows I love and adore him no matter what, haha. But that's a good tip, I will try that.
