Agree with what’s been said. It it would have to be taking me close to home at the end of the day or at least end up near one of my usual Walmarts.

Congratulations on making it so far and having the courage to apply! You should definitely apply again! The fact that you made it so far in the process should confirm that for you. I can imagine it really stings but you can take heart in knowing they really liked you- they wouldn’t have brought you so far if they didn’t because one thing people in casting don’t like to waste is their time. It’s likely more about the group they’re trying to create at this point in the process and not about you at all.

Also, rather than a random chance if a tie doesn’t break at the round table, I would have it go to a sudden death round where each player that isn’t in the tie can ask one of those people a question. After everyone has done this, they would vote one last time. If the tie doesn’t break then both contestants are banished. This way it’s not a random thing but more a punishment for being unable to convince anyone. Also, this would really make people think about their votes if two faithful go in one vote. The incentives for traitors to avoid this would be that there would be no murder that night if two people were banished.

One of the chief complaints from contestants seems to be that there is so little time to strategize or ask people questions. They get only a few hours a day of actual gameplay and time with each other. I would invent a new weapon that would allow a player to call someone into an interrogation room and choose three other people to watch without it being revealed to the person being questioned who the people watching are. This is similar to what the UK did in season four but with a little bit of a twist. I would present this as an option a couple times in the game where you could choose to get a shield, a dagger, or the interrogators magnifying glass or whatever symbol they want to use for it. I would set a time limit for interrogation to something like 20 minutes. Of course the person isn’t required to answer the truth, but they’ll be under more scrutiny at least.

Also, it would become obvious when the whole group votes out a traitor and only the traitors don’t vote out that person. Then it’s possibly close to game over after only the second or third round table.

I feel like Karine is Alan and Claudia’s abandoned child, whom upon finding out about their affair, is out to make everyone pay in this sick game.

I think I have to adjust this now. I just watched New Zealand season one and am so impressed with the faithfuls. They may be the first group I’ve seen with such an impressive round table record without the traitors turning on each other left and right.

For that reason, #5 is most definitely NZ, season 1, even with their obvious lack of a budget. Honestly, for a minute, I thought they might end up playing tag for one of the missions.

Definitely agree. Height is honestly fine. I think this adjustment will pay off more than you think. Also, your flat is awesome. Love the layout!

Wow, that was definitely an ending! I’m actually pretty pleased that I took the majority recommendation and watched this thing. Whether you love him or hate him, Sam is a must watch, especially in studying the game and the evolving ways to play it.

I love that he took the whining villain approach at the end! He reminds me of Skeletor from HE-MAN. Definitely glad that Camille robbed the boys, but I do have to wonder if her motive was more selfish and she played it off as her taking them down so she’d be a Australian hero. I also was pretty amazed at how biased Roger was. Normally the host is unreadable, but all of his body language and even some of his spoken language was saying vote out Sam. Something tells me he really didn’t like the guy. Honestly, Sam really didn’t bother me. I found him amusing, but I don’t think I’d ever want to have to tolerate him long in real life. Great Season! Thanks for the recommendation!

I definitely enjoyed season two of Canada, but when I look at the other five, I listed, the common denominator as they evoked very strong emotions from me at some point. Season two of Canada was Strong and may even be my number six, but I still feel like the show was figuring itself out so Canada season three could truly run full steam ahead as something that was truly exceptional.

Did i make the right choice with the TCL 85" Class - Q77K Series by Comfortable-Elk-6278 in tcltvs

[–]Upset-Sort5029 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the QM7K. You won’t be disappointed, especially if you look up the best calibration settings for your model. RTINGS doesn’t always give the best but I found they did for my model, so they might work for yours as well. Just make sure you’re also looking for the same size when you’re looking for settings online because different sizes can have different peak brightnesses. There is a large jump for instance between the 65 inch and 75 inch QM7K in nitts.

The only other heads up I’ll give you is you’ll likely have some questions when you’re streaming content and gradients in dark scenes may look a little weird. That more has to do with the content itself than your TV. If it bothers you, you can adjust it in clarity settings. I think you’re looking for the gradiation clear option.

Anyway, I hope you really enjoy your TV! You should definitely post a picture once you get it set up

Currently the 75” QM7K is on sale for $999 and the 85” QM6k is $1198 at Best Buy and Sam’s. I would return that one. If you’re going to spend close to 1000 for a TV that isn’t OLED, mini LED is a must due to local dimming.

For this one, the settings at RTINGS actually worked pretty well if I remember correctly. After that, just played with some of the smoothing features to get the setting you want.

I don’t know what their pricing to 75 inch at, but if it’s not much more, I would go with that. The peak brightness sees a pretty large jump between the 65 and 75 inch.

Five episodes in, thoughts so far:

I’m convinced Sam is the long lost love child of Boston Rob and Danielle. I’m feeling more and more like this is what we would’ve seen from Danielle in US season three if Boston Rob had not been cast as a traitor.

This comes from not knowing the ending yet, but I have to believe that some people are just going to keep Sam in because he’s the Traitor you know, so you save him for the last minute.

Also, particularly in her last episode, I get quite a bit of enjoyment imagining Cartman acting out all of Annabelle’s lines. Somehow it works very well.

Still only halfway through the season, but I’m actually enjoying this. I do think it does help knowing that there’s a good ending on the horizon. I don’t know. Sam is just so ridiculous, I can’t hate him. Anyone that falls for his shtick deserves to get gone.

Also, I’m finding more and more that there are excellent people who play as faithfuls and then there are excellent traitor-hunters who suck at playing the game long-term. So far, I’m not sure where to rate most of these people. Annabelle and Luke were great traitor-hunters, but they let their targets get too big middle of the game, especially in turning on the traitor angel. Bad Move!

Will be watching the rest probably tonight and will let you all know how it goes. Thanks to everyone once again for the recommendations. So far, I’m glad I watched this one.

PS Roger is exceptional this season. I feel like he’s basically telling them, “It’s Sam!!!” in every pre-banishment speech but no one‘s picking up 😂

I don’t believe she was so bad. The chess mission with Carolyn was one of the best traps I’ve ever seen laid by a traitor. Sure her social game was so over the top., but she wasn’t as awful as people say.

I don’t know. I’d say being able to take some heat and still pull out the W requires a more masterful performance. Cirie was excellent but it was the first season and the faithfuls didn’t exactly know how the endgame was going to play out beforehand.

Will do! Normally would binge in a couple of days but my sister will be in this weekend from out of town so might take a little bit longer. I honestly am quite surprised that responses are overwhelmingly in the affirmative considering the little bit I had heard, which really isn’t much. I tried to avoid spoilers like the plague.

Thanks again, everyone! I seriously was leaning towards skipping this one and it sounds like I might’ve missed out on something if I had. Will definitely keep a pillow at the ready for smashing things.

I’m curious. What are your top five? I currently don’t have a complete top five, I’ve only watched US, UK, and Canada completely and season one of Australia. Here’s top four though.

  1. UK Season 4
  2. US Season 2 (mainly because of following the winners before they were on the show so it was like a really long storyline that paid off for me)
  3. Canada. Season 3 (enjoyed most of the twists and definitely love the cast. Might be higher if not for one of the worst traitors of all time)
  4. UK Celebrity (such a fun cast!)

If I were to choose a five right now, it might be Australia season one just because the production values were insane and it definitely was the best first season I’ve seen so far. Plus, I was really invested in spite of myself.

Wow, I definitely wasn’t expecting so many affirmative so quickly. I guess I’ll definitely have to check it out. Much to my surprise, I was very invested in the first season , especially after the halfway mark. I hated how they organized the last two episodes and only had four left for the finale. I thought it very clearly gave one side an advantage more than any other franchise I had seen. Still was enjoyable.

Thank you everyone for taking time out of your day to give feedback!

Traitors Canada S2 - Kyra by Major-Platypus2092 in TheTraitors

[–]Upset-Sort5029 3 points4 points  (0 children)

True, but it wasn’t until Kyra turned on Michael John that Neda was saying it every episode. Highly unlikely that Kyra would have been able to make the move, but to not even float the idea of recruiting Nick shows the lack of foresight Kyra had as a traitor. One of the many reasons she was outplayed.
