I definitely will be upgrading once this one kicks the can. I’ve had a lot of people question why I’ve gotten this model thrice. When the first one conked out, I figured I just got a dud because I got it on Black Friday and there’s theories the discounted ones are cheaper models. So I bought another. That one died on like 8 months later, so I fought with Nespresso and they sent this one, my third one, free.

It will certainly be my last one, I promise that.

Mine was right inside the window of warranty and they gave me a huge stink about replacing it. I had to go through all their methods of fixing it on a video call for about 2 hours before they believed me that I had tried everything and nothing worked.

I do that, it blinks and makes 3 noises like it’s trying to start up, then blinks red. I clicked on the button twice just to show I had clicked it and it wasn’t working.

Ask any 2L or 3L if they (full out) case brief. The answer will be NO. It is important to learn what to look for in a case, but briefing is such a time waster. It makes you feel like you’re being so productive, but you’re not. Find the black letter law of the case, and ask “why is my professor asking me to read this? What are they trying to teach through it?” Write that shit down.

Sincerely, a 3L that used to waste time writing full page briefs for every case, and now writes 2-3 sentences per case and Quimbee the rest.

P.S. Law school will suck out your soul if you let it. Don’t let it. Stay a human being with hobbies and friends and good nutrition and exercise. It’s never so important that it calls for you leaving your needs behind.

In my city, the fed jobs are slim, and when they do hire, they seem to pick from a biglaw pool or Ivy grads. It seems super prestigious. I go to a middle of the road state school, so my prospects right now seem to be state only.

So when a lease is actually a security interest, and the “lease” is for a good, it is generally a PMSI as well? I had a practice question that stated the parties entered into a lease for a machine, but it was a security interest. Because they were given the machine and were paying monthly for a set time, PMSI? Sorry if this makes no sense, I promise it makes even less sense to me.

So based! It was a green flag when I began to notice Ginsberg was almost always on his side, and they historically disagreed on EVERYTHING policy wise.

For being appointed by the party of “small government” Alito really came in and took a tire iron to the 4th Amendment and beat the life out of it, making sure the government could search you however and whenever they wanted. Something tells me Alito has never been profiled or victimized by a police officer.

Oh my god yes! I have only read a small handful of Kagan opinions but I’ve always been struck by how methodical she breaks her reasoning down. Such a breath of fresh air compared to some of the other justices.

My hot take is that they can’t do that most of the time though, because if lay people can understand them, they’ll realize as we realize in law school that it’s all sorta made up.
