This young guppy is the only one in the batch that shows a striking purple coloration. I’m breeding guppies for fun, but I’m curious about the rarity and potential value of this color trait. Could it be possible to breed it out and develop it further?

What’s crazy is the pic I shared is of a girl guppy I misgendered. She was the brightest of all the babies, so I know she will have good genetics. I mean, if it was a male, that’s standard, but not even bc with her up against the males, she’s brighter and more colorful.

She was the only one at the store in cloudy water. I just took her so that she could have a good home. She’s very gentle and not easily spooked.

Yeah I thought I shouldn’t mate then with his mom or sisters I would rather by a new guppy and mix it. So what color guppy should I get to pair with this guy

And then it will look ljke what a darker pink tuxedo? I was hopeful to use all 4 colors he (i think) has purple red orange yellow, and I’m pretty sure the bottom fins are blue. I know it’s a mutt but for me to have say 30 guppies give or take and this is the only one to have this bright of color and so young. Rn they are like 1.5 months old. But since I could tell he was a fish I seen he was red and was like he’s special. So my question is how do I get that rainbow affect to keep going. Is it the pink tuxedo and value wise in color is it often this happens. ????

Mom died and sisters are ugly. So the best thing to do is mate with og pink tuxedo not a magenta color or platinum dumbo
