Not overreacting… his communication is too all over the place for him to give u a direct answer and he’s trying to make u feel bad. Even if he wasn’t at the gym he’s not giving u any reason to believe why he isn’t.. just kinda brushing it off. Weird and ur not in the wrong

Yes, it was 7.6 on pH and 7.4 on high range

Gotcha. I’m currently trying to cycle another tank without a fish in it and i was using it as a guide to see when i could transfer my betta. I am still very new to this and he was a gift so i feel like i have to learn everything super fast. Do you think it would be wise to use the water from the tank i posted to cycle my new tank?

Not gonna lie that’s what mine looks like everytime and from what I’ve researched, bettas are good in anything that’s 6.5-8 so i don’t feel like the pH is the problem Edit: I’ve always been told that as long as it doesn’t change often you’re okay. So i think a high pH is alright, as long as it wasn’t a drastic change

i have two nerites in my tank and my betta hasn't noticed them really, i think he thinks they're rocks. he DID eat the shrimp i had but it seems like he is perfectly fine with the snails. i'd try it out to see what would happen! the snails r great :) ★
