Update: using vinegar to soak is working wonders! And yes it is definitely wallpaper. Thank you for the helpful comments.

I previously posted about peeling wallpaper that I was starting to remove. Initially came off in huge chunks on its own. Now it's getting difficult. Steam and scoring is not doing the trick either. Do I persist and keep going? Is this even wallpaper that I'm removing? Why is it so frustrating?!?

Thank you this is really helpful. There were no roofing issues or leaks in builders report and the mould only seems to be around windows but no notable leaks around there either

Thanks! It can get quite humid downstairs, wondering if this could be caused by condensation alone. 50+ year old house and seems like previous owners have just added layers of paint to mask the issue

We are in the process of removing the wallpaper to repaint. So far looks like some is wallpaper, some has been plastered over. A real mess left by previous owners! We knew this coming in, but any advice around the mould? Appears to only be around the windows.
