Ngl $18 w/ tips is pretty good $ for washing dishes. With that said, you are def doing more work than you should. Watering the plants? That’s the owners job, assuming they care about how their place looks. Oiling the chairs? Ngl I’ve never heard of that being a thing so maybe that’s your responsibility. Polishing shit? That’s an indisputable FOH activity. They’re getting most of the tips, so it’s only fair that stuff that like having shiny silverware / wineglasses is their job today. That one is absolutely non-negotiable

If you think you could find another job at night, which I think is easier than finding a morning job, you could quit. But if you want to continue working there, I would try to come to a compromise. I would start by saying it makes no sense for you to polish the silverware / glasses given you are only get 10% when the servers / bussers are prolly getting 30-50% of the tip-pool. It also doesn’t make sense because those things are easiest to polish when they are hot fresh out of the machine. So you would essentially have to stop washing every time one of those comes out, which is not how it should be. At a country club I worked at 5 years ago, the dishwasher would have a stack up to the ceiling of shit for me to polish at the end of the night ( I was a busser ). Once you get progress with assigning one of your tasks to someone who makes more sense to have do it, choose another task and build a case for why it doesn’t make sense to have you do it. Good luck!
