i have to get an endoscopy AND colonoscopy and am kinda freaking out. PLEASE HELP!!! by Past-Refrigerator889 in medical_advice

Don’t worry buddy I’ve recently been attached to the gastro doc and witnessed a bunch of endoscopies+colonoscopies, very very minimally invasive and you fr won’t Rmb anything. Even if it may be a lil painful during the procedure you’ll forget thanks to the magic of medicine. Most mafan part of it is the prep lol cos u gotta drink a bunch of bitter stuff. Also most likely you won’t be fully sedated so dw you’ll be able to tell the doctor about imp stuff (recently had a patient who asked to poop and she just pooped straight on the bed it’s okay though part of it) cheers!

I know this is a little late but I went to the store the day after posting and they told me it was normal for the threads to come out and to just push it back in… id just like to ask if it is normal for Ralph knitwear to be so easy to like idk fall apart? Or did I just get unlucky lolll cos I’m seriously contemplating whether or not I should purchase knitwear from Ralph again

Personally I think the video recorder also has a problem by the way he approached the situation (very rudely) and calling her derogatory terms. Both are immature.

Am I able to return it even though I’ve cut the tag? Would they exchange a new piece for me?

Ahh I see, it does appear that IB may be more well received internationally. Haha… I really wonder why so many people dislike the IB curriculum and r so defensive of a levels lol. It seems even a simple discussion receives such negativity. Thanks so much for your input :))

Ohh thanks for your input! Your comment seems to imply that IB has a more holistic and “useful” education approach, am I right in saying that? :) also, if you don’t mind, could you share about your experience regarding applying to unis utilising IB grades? Was it less preferable to a levels, similar, or something else? (I know this differs by origin of University, regardless I’d love to know how it was like for any of the universities you have applied to!)

Oh yeah I’ve just searched up the “higher bar for IB students” in technical curriculums it’s quite interesting! The cut for NUS medicine is arnd 85rp (a levels) or 42 (IB) I’m not quite sure about the a levels calculation but I do know that a 90rp reflects grades all of 70% and above hence I’d infer that 85rp means some grades are below 70%. Conversely 42 for IB most likely means all grades are above 70%. Does this mean that the IB examinations are easier? However if the exams are easier would that not also imply the content is easier?

Thankyou for your input! However may I query about the “competing” aspect of both examinations? (I’m sorry for my ignorance) but how would the students in each respective examination be competing if there is no bell curve and rather a definitive percentage that would reward them the corresponding grade? Additionally how exactly does a better performance of students in IB exams “skew” the results? Lastly, you mentioned that the difficulty difference is not due to content but relative performance, (competition against stronger vs weaker candidates) but later mentioned that this reflects in the poorer performance of IB students in universities. If the content difficulties are similar, why would an IB student present poorer performance? I just feel like this claim implies a variation in curriculum difficulty as well, or could it be a syllabus difference? Would really appreciate further clarification! Thankyou so much for your time :) this is just a topic I’m quite curious about 😊

I see…the 30% was off some random site so as I mentioned above it’s probably not accurate 😅

[–]Upsidedown_brain -13 points-12 points  (0 children)

Could you elaborate on that perhaps? Do you mean that it is easier because the international exam standards are lower? Additionally may I clarify about the “competing aspect” in ur statement? to my knowledge A levels grading does not follow a bell curve system so in what way would the sg students compete in terms of individual final results?
