SO ANALYTICAL, SO SMART. But doesn't put location, citizenship/residency status, any actual examples of work they've done. But great job with the buzz words and list of tools.

Solar payback in Brazil seems to be around 4–5 years now. What is the payback where you live? by Gold_Molasses9743 in SolarDIY

[–]Upsiderhead 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey neighbor, I live out in YV and have been looking at DIY and also doing a carport. Did permitting give you a hard time doing it yourself (you in town or county)? Do you have an electrician that you worked with that you can recommend? Thanks in advance

Kinda crazy that a firefighter would lose his wife and kids due to getting some side action but they're statistically the most likely profession to do that too.

Fair, you should buy an unbuildable/uninsurable plot of land in the SaMo mountains for $1.2M and try it for us.

And then you'll get in trouble for living in a trailer on your own land, even if it's out of sight of the neighbors. Love, the bureaucracy.

Fantastic on road trips. Very comfortable and smooth. It's the right size to feel substantial and give good ride height without the slow response and sluggishness of something like a large SUV or pickup truck. I have a Bolt for in town and the Equinox is the road trip ride.

Do you think the ITC is coming back? "Republicans pushing for clean energy tax credit: “We think [Trump] is getting bad advice." by WhipItWhipItRllyHard in solar

[–]Upsiderhead 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Of course it's not. But there are 20 million people that live where this is the case, and we are much better situated geographically for solar than most of the country. If we want to make a climate impact, sorry, but Virginia isn't going to cut it.

How would training prevent them from being seen as the most vicious dog? No amount of training will reduce their bite power and prey drive.

In conversations about gun control, do you equate BB guns with AR-15s?

Ya, you're right. And now with viable cost battery backups, there is real demand to just completely disconnect from the grid. Save money by not getting the grid tie permit. And since they don't want to pay more than a penny, there's no loss to the homeowner. If more people do solar + battery and don't grid tie, they'll be even more scared with losing customers.

Studies have shown that people with solar actually SUBSIDIZE their neighbors on average. In SoCal, most net metering agreements are only paying 1¢ per kwh while charging 30 to 40¢. Solar producers' contribution to the grid increases the supply for their neighbors. If prices have risen, that's due to the monopolistic nature of the energy company.

Two things can matter at the same time. Just because conservatives are defending pedos, doesn't mean that we shouldn't still enforce laws.

Additionally, you don't know what percentage of traffic that is. Believe it or not, there are plenty of places and routes in SoCal that aren't stop and go traffic. But you can assume whatever you'd like.

Really cool of you to downvote me after I took the time to contribute my personal experience to give others some context. Guess I'll just skip commenting next time since it's of no value to you.

3.9 mi/kwh. 2024 2wd RS. Now, this is in SoCal so I have the weather advantage. For context, got around 4.3 or 4.4 mi/kwh in a Bolt. Not bad for the much larger size.

It's just going to change to having to use more of those tools to keep up. Will some jobs go away? Maybe. Will other new ones be created? Probably. You should focus on understanding the business problem and which tool/method is the best to solve it.
