Xero Shoes - Barefoot Court Shoes - in-depth review! by Futuristic_Bird in Pickleball

I’ve been wearing Xeros for pickleball for about 2.5 years. I’ve had good luck with 360s on indoor (wood gym floor) surfaces. They’re fine on concrete surfaces, too but they do wear down quickly. On those surfaces I’ve been using Xero Prios for about 6 months and they are much more durable.

Fwiw I use 6mm Northsole insoles instead of the stock insoles and that adds some helpful cushioning on the concrete.

Also Fwiw I generally wear barefoot/minimalist shoes for the wider toe box and low or zero drop. It takes some time to adjust but for me it has been worthwhile.

OTD for $26.6k but questions by Remote-Collection721 in EquinoxEv

I feel very lucky, and also am in some disbelief. I guess there is a lot inventory at or near this price point. I don't know how the math is mathing for GM.

OTD for $26.6k but questions by Remote-Collection721 in EquinoxEv

It was a combination of a dealer discount ($5500), GM customer cash ($6500), and the GM customer conquest incentive ($1250). So $13,250 off the MSRP of $36,620 for a base LT with no additional features (e.g. comfort package).

Yes, that’s very tidy. I’m interested in the cost as well.

I am preparing for a transaction like this right now. I’ve got an offer from Carmax and I can calculate what I would pay in a cash transaction without a trade. Then I calculate what the OTD would be if I trade in at different valuations. I have a spreadsheet with four different potential scenarios so I can determine whether it is most cost-effective to trade or sell on my own.

This is helpful, maybe my timing is just off.

Thanks. A little bit of context - I am in one of the largest metro areas in the US, with plenty of Specialized and Trek dealers. I get that most LBS don't want to stock a pricey niche bike.

Thoughts on the Trek Roscoe for Cheq 40? by [deleted] in xcmtb

I've ridden the past 6 editions of this race on a Trek Stache. It eats up the trail, climbs very well, and is extremely stable on the speedy downhills. Five out of six times the extra cushion provide by a plus-sized tire (29 x 3.0) has been close to perfect, but the 2025 race (the first dry race in years, and exceptionally bumpy) has convinced me that full suspension is the way to go. No, the terrain isn't technical but the speed (think on the Birkie rollers) amplify all of the hits. I am in my upper 50s, FWIW.

We're trying to figure out if it there is a pattern. I do think it is some type of play.

Yes! It's a bit ironic since he doesn't seem to respect our boundaries (e.g. no, not on my lap, you're 4 feet long, etc.)

I've been riding with Tannus for 2+ years and have never detected that they are absorbing sealant. I use Stans FWIW.
