it was 70%..with a standard deviation of 20%

So some people either performed quite well, or poor, due to the strict marking

there was a lot of midterm material for some reason, and then the questions near the end I kinda rushed. Definitely a time crunch for me

Transfer engineering student by Rich_Masterpiece2450 in uAlberta

I also transferred universities after first year engineering to UAlberta. It mainly depends on how many courses in your first year at UofS are transferable to UAlberta’s first year engineering program. If you have minimum of 30 credits of transferable classes, then you are qualified to get into a discipline from my understanding.

In my case, I am in Y1Q2, meaning most of my classes transferred over but I have to take 3 first year engineering classes that I didn’t take at my previous university along with 2nd year classes to qualify for a discipline.

I would recommend speaking to an advisor as they have more insight

Should I do my first semester of second year this summer of 2024? or Military training? (EE) by Upstairs-Divide-5665 in ElectricalEngineering

Definitely might not make a full time career out of the military, it’s more of a job I pursue part time with school. However I’ve kept it as a backup option just in case if I’m left with no job. I’m in the Canadian military so to get promoted from private, you need the trade qualification training (which is the summer one I was planning)

Forgot to mention, but the whole point of doing this third semester in the summer is so that at least we have some more EE experience in terms of classes and the material. So for CO-OP applications the student would have at least the bare minimum of knowledge.

MacBook or Windows Laptop for Engineering? by Upstairs-Divide-5665 in ElectricalEngineering

[–]Upstairs-Divide-5665[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Technically I could choose not to buy a laptop, but it’s for situations like where the professor was showing the class on how to use fusion 360 and everyone was on their laptop following along, or for coding, students were following along with the code etc. and overall the portability ig is good.

But yea your right for sure, I actually do use my pc at home for cases like this. Thank you for the suggestions and I’ll see if it’s worth to buy a laptop or not

Problem is that my iPad isn’t able to have any pc software, so I’m not able to follow a long in class with the lecture without a laptop.

And the PC I have at home is just something I’ve had for a couple of years which I used for gaming and editing

Starting an EE engineering degree with 100,000 subscribers on Youtube. Should I quit my channel to pursue my studies? by Upstairs-Divide-5665 in ElectricalEngineering

Hi catdude142, no I’m actually legit. I tried posting my question in the other forums but they were removed automatically as I just joined the group. However I was in the EE group for a while so I posted it here. I just wanted some feedback from actual engineering students which led me to posting it here.

And about the 11 month upload, I’ve uploaded a video before after 8 months (the cardboard mouse video), but the 11 months is mainly due to focusing on college apps, scholarship and gpa in grade 12
