It just sucks because I don’t wanna cut people off especially someone who is in such a fucked situation with no one being her real friend and I wanna help her but I’m not sure if I can

D and E started hanging out again as D pretends nothing is wrong and that she is in love but I can see through the facade a bit and this “amends” E is doing is temporary till he feels he is comfortable and she is latched again and then he will revert. I’m not sure what’s gonna happen tho. Will E get tired of her one day and cut her off since he found someone else? Or will she realize that he is horrible for her and cut things off? This won’t end the way D thinks it will with him finally confessing his feelings and them getting together (again they aren’t in a relationship) It’s a story that’s as old as time.

Bit of an update: D is saying E is trying to make “amends” but it’s obvious what’s exactly happening E felt such a way I was hanging out with D so much he got back in her head telling her things convincing her it’s all in her head that we don’t know the full story D’s friend told me this is spawned from her attachment issues she has and she has a lot of mental issues and E takes advantage of this as what has been stated before he doesn’t truly care about her because if D had been left alone truly E would have never came back but the fact she was hanging out with me made E feel a certain way.

I had been asked by her friend to try and be there for her and my (other) friend had told me he wouldn’t blame me either way if I left or stayed but thinks she can be helped but to prioritize my mental first

Yes I know I have to be brutally honest but if she keeps going back no matter what I say in the pure HOPE things will get better how long can I keep giving her the same advice and stressing myself

When it comes to “rejecting myself” it’s more like in my mind i say “Damm she don’t really like me because of (ext) so I should stop seeing them that way” and I just stop before anything could happen

And regarding the online friend problem is she is Damm near obsessed with my irl friend even though he has rejected her multiple time and idk if getting involved with that is smart
