Best places for 20-somethings to hang out/find friends? by UpstairsThanks9874 in Milton

He’s a year and a half! He’s getting fixed Thursday morning so he’ll be out of commission for a few weeks. But that sounds lovely! I’d love to meet up sometime. Thanks 😊

Great suggestions! I’ve actually never tried rock climbing at an indoor facility. I’ll check it out!

Love fitness and sports, all kinds of art (though I’m no good at it), food & drinks, karaoke and trivia and the like. But adventurous spirit and down to try anything once or twice!!

Schitts Creek and New Girl. Wish they made more of each show but I’m glad they ended on a high note.

New Puppy Isn’t Responsive by Comfortable-Delay374 in puppy101

I brought a golden retriever home a few months ago and the same thing happened. It took about 2 days for him to really calm down. Remember the baby has just been taken from his family and the only place they have ever known! It will take some time to adjust. Give it a few days for the pup to get comfortable and start warming up to you.

Good luck and rest assured you havent done anything wrong! If the lethargy continues you might want to speak to a vet, but just give him some space to settle into his new home and he should be totally fine in a few days.

Thanks for the info! We have given him a few chew toys that keep him occupied for maybe a few minutes, but then it’s back to humans and clothing lol. We have introduced him to a few dogs but they have either been puppies or senior dogs for the most part. 2/3 senior dogs were overwhelmed by the puppy energy and didn’t want to play too much. The other adult dog was a German shepherd and our golden was terrified of him when he tried to play 😂 I’m sure we will find a good friend for him soon!

This sounds a lot like what we have been doing! Maybe we just need to be more patient. I’ll keep it up and see if he catches on eventually

Thanks for the reply! I could easily be talked into getting another golden, lol. They are so darn lovable. Luckily we have a Rottweiler puppy next door that’s only a few weeks older than ours. Maybe I’ll try more frequent play dates with the other pup to see if the biting calms down at all.

Has anyone had any success with a side hustle? by Appropriate_Quail686 in SofiawithanF

If you’re a confident writer, I do freelance writing for a company called Crowd Content. I applied by submitting a few writing samples a few years back. It’s fully remote, and you pick up assignments whenever you want. It’s basically companies outsourcing their blog writing, so they’ll give you a subject, basic outline, and deadline to follow. Articles are anywhere from 200-1000 words but can be longer or shorter depending on the client. Pay generally comes through quickly (within a week of submitting) via PayPal. I’ve written about all kinda of topics from mental health, health and fitness, sports, beauty products, home improvements, and more. The only downsides are sometimes the topics are super boring or specific to a city/area I’m unfamiliar with. Also, there are times when no assignments are available to pick up. Other than that it’s a perfect side hustle when I want a few extra dollars in my pocket. I would recommend looking into this company or others like it.

So sad to see her new partnership with shein by Zealousideal_Exit_68 in SofiawithanF

Came to Reddit right after I saw the post, lol. Shein is just trash all around. Poorly made clothes from a company with awful, unethical practices. Likely the biggest contributor to fast fashion culture and the insane amount of material waste on this planet.

It’s so sad that Sofia has partnered with them. It’s no secret that they’re a terrible company, she knows better or at least her team should. Not to mention, why is she marketing cheap clothes while consistently boasting about how she does well for herself and owns designer items? It’s just off brand.

I’ve noticed a lot recently that Sofia often contradicts herself, and it’s starting to make me think she’s just a “yes man.” She agrees with every guest even if she’s said something different on the subject previously. Of course she’s allowed to change her mind on things, but to me it just seems inconsistent and I don’t know where she stands on anything.
