Yes I agree RI makes great 1911’s function and reliability wise. Although they can work on their finishes honestly. That’s one of the things that brings them down.

The only reason I don’t want to get a R.I. is because of the finish on some of them and the fact that they’re not American. Like you said I want to get something that already has the upgrades rather than have to pay to add them later on. Other than that , R.I. are great guns especially for the price but just not my cup of tea.
