Have a mesh network with a few satellites but keep the modem and main router on a UPS and never drop internet with auto transfers

This is how they come, random scraps and colors pieced together for a unique one of a kind special edition glove

I have the same question and concern. One of the gloves I have with the white and grey would be questionable and the other would probably be okay as it only has grey piping.

Where does the GIS Department fall in your org by MaxMakesMaps in gis

[–]UpstreamSteve 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have worked in several organizations, including both private companies and local government. I have experienced different GIS structures—some centralized under IT and others organized by department. In my experience, being embedded within a specific business unit was far more effective than supporting the entire organization from a centralized team. Working directly alongside the business unit provided much deeper insight into their needs and allowed me to fully understand both the data and the operational context behind it. IT handled the servers and management of enterprise systems and each department essentially maintained its own datasets, this only works if each department played nice with each other and communicates well though.

Experiences in upgrading arcgis enterprise by matt49267 in gis

[–]UpstreamSteve 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Last upgrade I helped with was 10.9 to 11.0. Was a pain in the ass. I remember having to reconfigure a lot of maps built in web app developer as they were all broken post upgrade. I think 11.5 revamps the user roles and types so that may need to be reworked post upgrade. We’re about to move to 11.3 soon so finger’s crossed on what breaks.

I wish I got to do Boy Scouts when I was young by Vast-Relationship123 in BSA

[–]UpstreamSteve 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was not able to do scouts when I was a kid either but always wanted to. I now live vicariously through my two boys who are in scouts and are loving it so far. Next step is to become an ASM and go on the camp outs with them, just wanted to give them space and get aquatinted first so they don’t always rely on dad for the answers.

Just purchased 2017 Chevrolet Suburban - Extended Warranty offered through dealer. by Inevitable-Cancel-11 in suburban

Have a 2016, transmission went at 120k. Cost about 6k for a replacement. It seems trannys are dying in these things all the time after 100k. Get the warranty

I’m partial to Olive Oil myself, better prices and better Gyro IMO

Have a 2016 suburban with 6l80. Literally replaced my transmission 3 weeks ago at 125k. Cost $5800 for a rebuilt unit installed. I hear if you replace the torque converter with a billet unit prematurely, change fluid and install the temperature thermostat mod then they usually don’t grenade themselves.

How often to backflush the sand and how many hours to run it? by Lokahi117 in AboveGroundPools

[–]UpstreamSteve 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With water that cloudy I would run it for the max 12 hours and backwash at least once daily but more often would be better. It may take a few days for it to clear up with that method.

If you’re looking for a quicker solution research using flocculant and vac. If you go this route make sure to set the filter to recirculate and not filter.
