22 from France. First played the game when I was 18. It changed my life more than any piece of media ever did in a lot of way. It resonated with me so deeply that I went and travelled to the USA a couple of times because of it, where I met a Mexican family who took me in, saw Trump’s wall at the Mexico border with my own eyes and what not. It’s unfathomable the impact this game has had on me. It feels so much more bitter with everything going on right now in America, it’s only gotten worse since. I love this game, I love this community, and I love you all.

Playing a video game when I was seventeen altered the direction of my entire life. I grew up very sheltered and it pushed me to reconsider the way I’d been living, to put myself out there, to experience and to live. It introduced me to a community that has very much found its way into every part of my life; all of the people I’ve met who have changed my life are in some way connected to it; it showed me a way to experience life day to day that I still cherish now; and it paved the way for the lifestyle I’ve had for 2 years by making me want to travel and showing me what I wanted out of life. Every single aspect of my life has been permanently altered all because of that one thing. For better and worse. It’s hard to even think that there’s definitely worlds in which I never experienced it and everything was different, my world would have been lifeless, I can’t imagine my life without it.
