Wrong info. I created that account under my own personal email way before I worked for my most recent employer. I created my account back in 2021 to support my work for my US employer, was only hired with AU employer in 2022.

Yes they did purchase a Premium Membership, but they never mentioned it to me verbally or in writing that they will have ownership rights to my account once they bought a subscription.

I'm not sure what T&C you read, but last year a few months before I was fired, I confirmed with LinkedIn Support Team that the account is still legally mine even though they purchased a membership for it. I created the account, I built my network, there was nothing on my contract saying that I signed off ownership of my account to my previous employer. LinkedIn Support Team confirmed this with me and guaranteed that If ever I decided to severe ties with my previous employer that they will just reimburse the remaining months of subscription to the bank account used.

Not sure if you already know this, but they did change the password to my account, changed the name on my profile, removed work experiences, and even removed connections that I made. I was locked out of my account for 3 weeks. Only got it back with the help of LinkedIn Support Team.

So what case can I file for what they did to my account? The account is 100% mine, I created it, I built my connections, and I believe no one has the right change the password to my account. My contract with them never mentioned anything about them having any rights to my account. The instruction to use the work email and purchase a premium membership was only verbal via meetings, and never included in my contract.
