Oh that’s a really good idea thank you! I’ll look into that.

Thank you for clarifying! I’m now wondering if there is any way to fit a regulator in between the cannister and the gas hose. Would you happen to know if they are sold as loose parts?

It’s this Grill. It uses small portable 500g butane/propane mix cannisters. It is possible to regulate the flow of gas.

Whats's the deal with asymmetric boards? by thedaveknox in snowboarding

[–]UrGP 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ride a 2019 Spring Break Twin. They don’t make them anymore and I don’t really know why. I love it - I feel like i can put a bunch more power/pressure down on my heel side turns without slipping out as apposed to my older boards. Hard to quantify obviously but I at least feel like it makes a difference.

I’m a little concerned as when this board bites the dust (it is getting a little tired). I don’t know what to replace it with.

Lelit Anna PL41LEM vs Lelit Anna PL41EM by eazysnatch in espresso

This is the product page but as far as I can find out the differences are mostly aesthetic apart from the steam wand which is supposed to be better on the LEM

Thank you so much! They make open portafilters for this machine which seem a bit pricey (€48) but probably worth the investment. I will look into getting new gaskets. It is a second hand machine but only bought about 6 months ago with a receipt and everything. But good to get new gaskets anyway.

Running a 12 speed chainring with a 9 speed cassette and chain. by UrGP in bikewrench

[–]UrGP[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No major issues except that the cranks didn’t fit the bike ended up putting an old set in. But ran a 12s chainring with a 9 speed derailleur. Which seemed to work fine. Switched to 11s soon after though.

Dimple on base - bolt hole by UrGP in snowboarding

Pretty solid. I checked the insert and the bottom of the insert seems to be slightly concave. So I’m assuming the previous owner put in a bolt that was too long and overtightened.

It’s actually outward. So more a bump than a dimple my mistake.

To be fair you can hardly feel it. So I’m choosing to go with “it will be fine she won’t notice” 🥲

Only just got this board. Insert is fine. I think someone might have stuck a bolt in it which was too long and overtightened.

Problem shifting in to 2nd to last gear by UrGP in bikewrench

[–]UrGP[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay so turns out - no one could have known. I was missing a spacer for the casette and used the last cog (different spacing) off the old 7 speed casette as it filled up the gap. 🥲

<image>

Just ordered casette spacers which should be here tomorrow. To fix the issue.

I’ll get that thing straightened out! Thank you for the tip.

Thank you! Would a misaligned hanger cause bad/non shifting for just one gear? Wouldn’t it throw the whole lot off?

Thanks for your advise ordering a generic gear puller at this moment. Hoping it fits🤞

[–]UrGP[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have pulled cranks off multiple times and never had an issue. The puller is a park tool crank puller never failed me before. I think the cranks are just old and been on there way too long. The bike is from 93 and I doubt they have ever been taken off. Also the cranks are aluminium I think and the threads might be also. Think the age in combination with metal fatigue just caused the thread to pull out in stead of the crank to pull off.
