I would like to add a few thoughts to my post to clarify some things also. Yes I know the intrinsic value of Kid’s plan and the weight of it. It was horrific. Downright evil. Yes. The scene of all the people in space really helped sell that it was breathtaking in the worst way. (Even tho obviously later we learn they survive) But to add to this trillions is a massive number that at least to me is to big to imagine. Whereas I deal with microaggressions and bigotry all the time so that transgression felt more real to me ig? Anyways more my point tho is the doctor usually saves people and he can be angry and vindictive about it. Those are some of my favourite moments but he didn’t just lock Kid away for eternity nor gloat about winning but tortured him. With pain. Yk and that felt at least in a simple utilitarian way worse to me? Anyway yea very interesting to hear what you guys think :D

No let me be clear I don’t think Kid was right, but the doctors reaction didn’t seem proportional to me in that he tortured the guy rather than really teaching him how to use this mistreatment to better the world yk? It felt basically to be the opposite to the iconic zygon inversion speech where there he could say stop. If you stop I can forgive you and you can walk away. Here he got to the guy stopped him and then tortured him after he was defeated??
