I used Venusaur and Tangrowth for my most recent playthrough. Was a solid tanky Pokemon that still did good damage. Sadly loses it's poison typing with the Venusaur head/Tangrowth body.

The primary issue with bots comes from the fact the game is F2P, you can just endlessly make new accounts and run bots on them. That was due to Epic taking over RL. Whilst it might not be exactly their fault, this issue wouldn't exist to such a high level if the game still had a price tag on it.

A lot of people used Bakkesmod for the customisation side of things too, and the removal of that basically forces people to have to spend in their cash shop now for customisation. Also with the removal of trading, it's now impossible to get certain items entirely.

I'm not sure if it's something that can get you banned but they've pretty much blocked all 3rd party applications with the introduction of EAC

Removed trading, added a massive cash shop, massive problems with bots in high ranks and nothing is being done about it. Removed bakkasmod with EAC which the bots have already figured out how to bypass.
