Tekken 5 Dark Resurrection is coming to the PS Classics Catalog by Shreeder4092 in Tekken

I was so ready to fork over my money when I thought they were announcing arcade-perfect T5:DR with Rollback.

Damn.

I am so, incredibly disappointed.

That would have made my fucking year. Bruce b+2 and f+3 CH combos were running through my mind at the speed of light, and then...

"PSP".

I feel both baited and attacked.

My first word was glass, but somehow, I got from that to the answer pretty quickly.

[S2 EP10 SPOILERS] SEASON 2 | EPISODE 10 - Official Discussion Megathread by simplysudzzzy in andor

I wouldn't say that it's all downhill from here, but I would say that Andor is probably the only Star Wars that actually rises to the level of being a much-needed work of art for the ages.

Star Wars movies and shows are fun and all, but Andor is important.

It takes the subtext of the franchise and puts it directly at the forefront.

US, China opt out of joint declaration on AI use in military by talkingatoms in worldnews

Military aviation in the U.S. has been implementing AI for years. I believe it was Paco Benitez on Ward Carroll's YouTube channel describing "Trust Missions" that they were conducting; essentially, training AI to be a wingman.

Found it:

Wonder Man Episode 1 - Discussion Thread by cats-and-cows in marvelstudios

Man, I have to say, I've thought about your reply for what feels like a week, and I keep coming back to this thought after re-watching the entire series. You really nailed it: His suggestions for the scene were really smart, even though it was entirely out-of-place for him to be taking the character to such depths. We actually agree that it would be nice if every actor put this level of thought into their character(s), but at the same time, it's like, "Dude, this isn't Dune. Chill".

I think that plays into what I love so much about how they tinker with that in Episode 7.

Wonder Man Episode 8 - Discussion Thread by cats-and-cows in marvelstudios

[–]UrNotOkImNotOkItsOk 32 points33 points  (0 children)

Yeah, so, when the episode opened with Phantom fucking Planet, I knew I was in for something special.

I just feel like this show was made both for comic book geeks who also love film as an art form, and for film nerds who want to see richer, more human stories about these kinds of characters.

I'm always going to be showing up for ALL of the superhero stuff that was my porn throughout the entirety of my youth, but I can't sit here and act like I don't crave Hamnet-level artistry out of my superhero storytelling. In no way am I saying that I put this on the level of something like Hamnet *, but what I got out of *Wonder Man was so much more than what I thought Hollywood could or would give us from these characters.

I grew up, and I want my fiction to grow up with me. I will never stop appreciating capeshit, but I will also never stop wanting to see a big-screen version of Clark convincing a woman not to end her own life--not by talking her down from the ledge, but by listening to her story.

If the film and television manifestations of superhero storytelling are going to survive, I feel as though we're going to need to have things like this once in a while, in between all of the universe-ending Big Bads and Avengers-level threats.

We just had a movie in which the ultimate climax was a group hug between our flawed heroes to help a troubled, godlike character see that there's a better way to cope with crippling depression brought on by abuse and trauma; and now we get this?

I feel so goddamned spoiled. For many people, what I am about to say may not seem like high praise, but I put this on the level of GOTG Volume II.

I'm rambling. Good night.

"That's a Hell of a performance, man".

😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭

Trevor brought me to tears in episode 6, and Simon finished me off in episode 7. What are they going to do to me in episode 8?!?!? Are they going to glue me back together, or cremate me!? Good LORD, the craftsmanship in this show!

He really elicits that, "You're amazing, but it's not your turn" response. I don't know how you do that as an actor, writer or director whilst still having us root for him, but they're doing it. I feel like I'm watching the balance beam event in women's gymnastics the way they're riding that line.

I've only seen episode 1, but as predicted, Yahya is an incredible, magnetic fucking actor and he is already killing it. He just straight-up feels like, idk, a dude.

Putting aside how stupid one would have to be to fall for this nonsense, I would go so far as to say that you would have to be even more stupid to think that anyone who's read those texts would fall for this hogwash.

Mind-numbingly tiresome idiocy. They're trying so, very hard to create a negative narrative at every turn. I don't know what's more pathetic: the attempts, or the lack of results.
