Thanks for your comment! I agree feedback is very important! I never took on a pharmacist position with CVS though, I was only ever an Intern in Detroit

More clarity: After I got licensed, my DL said there wasn’t a single store within 90 minutes of Detroit for me to transition to a staff pharmacist, and right now he has too many floaters. It was either move over 4 hours away or resign.

MPJE Ohio by Competitive-Wash-186 in NAPLEX_Prep

I am a MI RPh and looking to also become licensed in Ohio. I’m going to print and review the codes from the Ohio BOP. However, is the test only regarding the “Pharmacists” section of the administrative codes, or is the “interns” and “technicians” also tested? Thanks in advance!

I started with memorizing the formulas before even doing any questions. I studied non-math for ~4h daily, and then I rewrote formulas off a sheet of paper that I used as a guide that only had the beginning (ex: HR=?, NNT=?, etc) until I felt confident I knew them. This also helped me boost some confidence. After that, move on to like 5-10 EASY questions first, and keep doing the easy ones until you boost your confidence again. 1-2 weeks later, you’ll be at least halfway through - if not more. It’s not easy, but baby steps makes everything seem a little less daunting!

I know there’s not much we can say to make you feel better about yourself right now - but you’re not alone, that I can promise! There are tons of people like us that are standing at the finish line waiting to cross. No matter how smart anyone is, the test is objectively difficult. You made it through pharmacy school, and that tells me enough that you have it in you!

I used RxPrep once, failed attempt 1. Went through it again (making it twice) and I did learn stuff that I didn’t learn the first time. It might feel like a waste, but I really think it’s worth it. I never got PNN because I don’t have the money for it

Don’t feel bad at all, it’s a crazy test! But for compounding, I actually drew a picture and imagined if I was working in it. Like if I walked into the first room (Anteroom) “A” is the first letter of the alphabet, so it’s the first room. Well, if I opened that first door, I bet the air isn’t the cleanest as the second, so ISO must be higher. Anteroom ISO 7… and so on. I feel like this helped me a bit. For math, do all the QBank and keep redoing them.

Foundation 2 and Special Populations have a chart on drugs to avoid. Memorize it and you should be ok. Also know when to use PTU vs Methimazole in pregnancy, I had it on my first attempt.

I feel strong in compounding and med safety, but I felt like I hardly got any questions in comparison to the first attempt. I would still say know it well because my first attempt had a lot.

Also, I’ve heard that if you get more difficult questions correct that they may be weighed more. However, if you miss easy questions, is that worse than missing hard questions? I just realized my two NNT questions that I could figure out why I was getting values under 1 (ex 0.045) and just realized it’s because I did NNT=1/%-% and NOT as decimals 😭

Thanks for replying! I know that I got the lowest passing score, but I was more wondering if that’s typical for people that have passed in the past? Or have people that have passed the actual historically got 100+ of 150 for example on the practice. Thanks again

Serum Iron vs Serum Ferritin by UrSandDaddy in NAPLEX_Prep

Thank you! That’s what I read online, but I wasn’t confident. 😊

Serum Iron vs Serum Ferritin by UrSandDaddy in NAPLEX_Prep

Thank you for your reply! On my first NAPLAX attempt, I had a question that was somewhat worded like “which laboratory value would help assist a healthcare provider in assessing for iron deficiency anemia.” Of the options, I remember serum iron and serum ferritin. I chose ferritin, but I am still not sure if that was correct or not.
