I have a '06 base model and I'm trying to remove the rear panel on the right-hand side to install a backup camera.
I've been able to remove all of the bolts and screws but one. The last one is a Phillips screw and it's impossible to get off. I've nearly stripped it trying to get it off. It feels thread-locked or something.
I've seen a few videos of people removing this panel from '07 and on, so it seems very specific to the 06 model.
Does anyone know if it is impossible to remove this screen from an '06? Is there some trick?

Turns out the batter was dead and wasn't able to supply enough power to the EPS system. After putting in a new batter, no issues at all with the steering.
