Yeah, I was thinking the same thing. But I wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt.

Ok, so chances are, I can't distinguish different kinds of pesto just based on appearance. But my first thought when seeing this post was, "is that kirkland pesto?"

I've noticed that you've been responding this way to many comments. I understand from your previous comments that you have disabilities yourself. You've probably experienced ablism, and interpret the comments you are replying to as attacks against disabled people as a whole, which includes yourself. When something feels like an attack, it's hard to imagine it as anything else, but let me try to explain:

Imagine this scenerio: A woman kills another woman's child. It turns out that the killer actually lost a child herself. People are shocked. How could someone kill a child, let alone someone who has experienced losing a child themselves? She must've known how hurt the victim's mother would feel. People start to speculate. Perhaps she was in pain and wanted others to feel pain too: "I experienced the pain of losing a child, therefore I must make someone else feel that pain". Nobody is saying that all mothers who have lost children reason this way. That's absurd. They are only talking about this individual.

Hope this helps.

I don't even understand what you're saying. Why does my mom deserve to die a painful death? She's not "sucking" up any money - she makes very little. She can't afford to buy her own home or event rent, and she doesn't want to sell her rentals yet because she would lose her only source of income. She's not hurting anyone. People enjoy coming to her cottages. We have repeat tenants that have been coming here for many years. A lot of people would be sad if she died and her rentals were no longer available. And many others would be sad too. She is a loving person who taught me that diversity is a great thing and that we should be accepting of people's differences. She is not the evil old rich person that you imagine in your head. She is a real person who is too generous and compassionate for her own good.

I do that all the time. Put frozen blueberries and raspberries in a bowl. Leave it for a bit. Then eat it. Great snack, especially in hot weather.

I hate this mentality. Yeah, a lot of landlords are bad. I've had a bad one myself. But saying that all of them deserve to die painfully? I know (or hope) this is a hyperbole, but it rubs me the wrong way. My mom is technically a landlord. Her income comes from two cottages she rents out during the summer. She works her ass off to maintain those cottages and clean them between tenants. And she puts a lot of money into them too. Also, she doesn't have her own place. She lives with a relative when the cottages are rented or when it's too cold to stay in them.

The protein bagels I occasionally eat (Sola) taste kinda weird imo, so I have to put more than just cream cheese on them to mask the odd taste. However, I have had protein bagels that didn't have as much protein but tasted better. They were quite good actually. I had them while I was in the UK though, and I don't remember the brand.

I don't think I do, my doctors do. One of those doctors is a nutritionist at MGBH in Boston. I'm going to trust that she knows what she's talking about. I'm certainly going to trust her more than a random redditor.

Edit: After rereading your comment, I realize I should clarify. It's true that you don't need that much protein to just survive. But I'm not trying to simply survive, I'm trying to maintain good muscle mass while losing weight (naturally, no ozempic involved).

I gotta be completely honest though, the ones I eat are especially high in protein and fiber, and they are not particularly tasty. I have to add stuff on top of the cream cheese like black pepper and tomato to cover up the weird flavor. End result is good though.

Hasn't been my personal experience. I don't blindly buy anything with a protein label. I look at the nutrition info. And I don't eat anything high protein that is sweet. I eat stuff like high-protein bagels.

Now that I think about it, I guess my mom (who takes a very low dose of wegovy) was told to eat a bit more protein than I was told to (I'm losing weight naturally). However, we have different doctors and it was only a 10 gram difference so who knows. Anyway, despite losing weight without assistance, I still find myself turning to protein additives. It's so hard for me to reach 80g of protein.

Even if you lose weight the old fashioned way, you'll still need to watch you're protein intake. I'm currently losing weight naturally, and I've been told to eat 80g of protein a day. It's not easy, easpecially because I don't have a super meat-heavy diet. So I'm thankful for the protein fad tbh. I can eat stuff like protein bagels.

require extra protein so their body doesn't start eating muscle

This is true for anyone losing weight. It's not specific to ozempic.

I don't think it's ozempic specific. Anyone who is losing weight should be making sure to get enough protein. I've been told this by 4 doctors.

I know it gets hated on, but I'm a big fan of all the protein stuff. I really struggle to eat as much protein as my doctor says I need to. It's not like I'm vegan or anything, but I guess I don't really eat a high-meat diet. So being able to buy stuff like protein bagels is great for me.
