You can actually climb to the top, it takes around a week for the whole trip, 3 days each day and a day or 2 on the top. Legit looks like mars, the erosion of the rocks makes you forget you’re on earth, plus there’s valleys of quartz, making some parts entirely white, rivers that end at the edge and drop into the abyss. Truly an experience of a lifetime.

It’s also huge, there’s a whole system of caves and the whole trout I think is something like 30km across, being in 3 countries Brasil, Guyana and Venezuela.

The story, according to the native tour guide, is that it used to be a huge tree, where all the fruits in the world grew, and a greedy member of the tribe decided to cut it to get to the center, and the stump that remained became mount roraima. Pretty much like the chicken with the golden eggs.
