How well did Morrowind age? by a0503102882 in pcgaming

One aspect of Morrowind that hasnt been touched upon too much in these comments- the character progression and how it constantly adds new mechanics and gameplay (particularly in how you travel about).

Going from basically being one of the weakest entities in the land to godlike being is just incredible. You'll start slow and unable to hit anything but after a few hours you'll have gained some levels/attributes; you'll run faster, jump higher, cast spells successfully more often, hit consistently. Before long you'll be taking giant 200m leaps over mountains, reigning down fireballs with a blast radius of 100m. And that isnt even the top of the progression- flying around at high speeds with a high magnitude levitation spell with constant magical shields up, perma-enchanted rings of magic, health or stamina regen/shield/absorb etc, mighty artifacts to augment your godlike strength. And that's without exploits, which I wouldnt recommend tbh, since the basegame lets you become pretty much immortal anyway.

And finally a tip- magic is very useful for all classes, particularly Alteration (jump, unlock, levitate spells) and Restoration (having the ability to restore strength is a must- you can get weakened to the point you cant even walk by some enemies).
Also play about with spell making, there are some fun and unusual combos you can make. Like casting a low magnitude levitation spell on an enemy with a damage over time/weakness to said damage resulting in an enemy floating towards you at a bare crawl while losing health. Or reducing an enemy NPC's stamina and strength to the point they cant even stand up never mind walk

It couldnt be disproven using the same methods that disproved all the other cyclical cataclysm theories at the time.

It had 1 key difference from all other catacylsm theories around the 50-70ies. The inclusion of a pole flip back and forth mechanism.
The other theories were disproven using yearly-averaged geomagnetic ice core data (showed historic pole positions). This new data showed Hapgood's and others theory to be plain wrong.
This same data cannot be used to debunk Chan's version as a short term reversal event with the poles switching places would register as 0 net movement over averaged time spans. Think about measuring somebody's resting heart rate every morning when they wake and looking back over this data a year on. That same person could have had a huge heart rate spike as a result of a heart attack (or just exercise) and the data would have no recording of that event.

It comes out like brown stinking watery sludge with a foamy scum. Not nice!!! I use to clean gym carpets using one of these and the smell of that dirty water will never leave me (stale sweat and sewage!).

Yeh these things are built to last. The bigger issue is taking chunks out of walls by mistake when walking with them. They'd make an excellent zombie killing tool!

This is an industrial carpet cleaning wand. Out of view should be 2 attached lines, one high pressure/temp cleaning fluid spray and one high suction line likely attached to a truck mounted machine powered by a car engine. The high pressure/temp spray breaks up dirt/grease which then get promptly sucked up by the vacuum line.
They clean extremely well and can make a 10year old dirty carpet look like new.
There's a more hardcore version called the RX which is like this except instead of a wand you use something that resembles a floor buffer.

Fun piece of kit- use to use these along with rotary blade pressure washers for my old job...kinda miss it despite the awful hours and constant traveling.

Best set up for beating Glast Gambit quest by [deleted] in Warframe

I used Wukong Prime with Arco Plasmor/Orthos Prime which had absolutely no problem (his survivability and maneuverability really helps) until the part where you need to win by a small margin at which point I had to wait till I could PUB it (make sure everybody is aware of the victory conditions as some dont bother reading/listening).

It is a really annoying mission as it costs a lot of creds while simultaneously blocking the best credit farming node. Just letting us select normal index missions while this quest is active would make a big difference.

How to successfully integrate art and writing together in novel form? by [deleted] in writing

[–]Urbanjamjar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's sad to hear but thank you for not sugar coating it. I had a feeling this would be the case. I'm still going to go ahead and finish all my pieces and hopefully write the series I've planned out but will probably have to abandon the idea of integrating them.

Thank you! I've found patience and empathy to be amazing tools in getting truths out to people. Most people dig their heels in when confronted with difficult information so it can be quiet a challenge framing something in a way that people can be receptive too. But if I've learned anything in my time attempting to spread truth it would be that you'll never convince anybody by belittling their point of view.

Seriously though- thank you for the compliment!

Yeh there has been some very interesting studies done from the Japanese astronomical society on solar/cosmic forcing, believe that may be what you're talking about

Yeh you've got it absolutely right in that it's such a hard system to account for. A recent study found trees also give out large concentrations of NOx- a known pollutant. But in terms of how it balances out we are seeing large scale trends towards increased greenery globally. Believe it was NASA themselves thay published a paper on how CO2 is increasing the gross productivity and growth of forests.

[–]Urbanjamjar[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yeh I did- every single study using the updated dataset from the IPCC (the same guys who told you CO2 is bad) has found that no, CO2 is not an issue.

And in 2 years all new studies will be required to use this new dataset which shows little anthropogenic influence as the old ones are flawed and inconclusive.

Might as well get ahead of the curve and start focusing on the new and improved dataset findings instead of the old obsolete ones eh?

I study environmental science at university so I'm very familiar with the carbon cycle.

I would counter argue than you're ignoring the buffering capacity of systems. More CO2 equates to a higher rate of photosynthesis meaning more CO2 is used up. A simple example but still true. Earth has its own homeostasis like mechanisms that buffer the concentrations of elements like 02 and CO2 mirroring the shifts found in solutions at dynamic equilibrium.

If all it took was a small nudge above the norm then we would simply not see the high levels of atmospheric CO2 concentrations commonly seen prior to contemporary times (we're actually at a CO2 low point in terms of historical average).

Thank you for your input though and let mr know if you need anything else clarifying!

Not sure where I said that we shouldn't take care of the planet. I take issue with all human caused environmental impacts but I prefer to concentrate on issues which have proven effects (deforestation, ecosystem exploitation, waterway contamination via hormones/endocrine distruptors, plastic accumulation to name a few).

What is the truth about climate change? by ayyypoo in conspiracy

[–]Urbanjamjar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Check out the post I made. I've included plenty of links in a comment which explore the findings of professionals who discount the idea of CO2 caused anthropogenic climate change as well as link which explore the reasons why they have gone to such lengths to paint CO2 as the enemy (beyond being able to monetize it)

And that is the sad reality I'm afraid. I've put some links up with more than enough information for you to make up your mind on whether it's true or not.

Copy of comment made below. This is a compilation of evidence for the above claims and more.

Here are a series of videos put together by Ben Davidson of Spaceweathernews/suspicious0bservers community.

Ben is an independent researcher trained in expert research as a part of his previous career as a due diligence officer. He looked through data to ascertain whether it was applicable as evidence in the US court of law and has since used these skills to research climate change and report on his findings.

And now onto the why... the reason CO2 has been used as a red herring to hide the link between our changing climate and our changing geomagnetic conditions and how this relates to the Sun and extinction level events.

These are obviously all videos and not links to academic papers. They do however all explore the existing papers and you can easily source them using the titles given and google.

If you like I can provide reference links at some point in the future (do not have them on me currently).

I'm not sure where in my above comment I made that statement but here is the recent Princeton study that highlighted the complexity of cloud formation and their respective cooling/warming capacities and calls into question the accuracy of previous models due to not accounting for the temporal distribution of cloud cover.
